2008 Nissan Pathfinder consumer reviews

Transmission slips in and out of overdrive around 40 mph with a very uncomfortabe lurch. There are no bulletins or fixs out yet, so without permission from Nissan the dealer cannot go into the problem. Would like them to re-program the module and check the vacum or find something that is causing it. I drove 3 other pathfinders and the shifting was much smoother. I am not a happy camper.

Good gas mileage for a 4 wheel drive. Excellent acceleration. Heating and radio controls not user friendly. Attention getter for a SUV.

After first 4 tanks of gas (using 87 octane) I average 18.6 mpg in the city, mixed with maybe 20% expressway. This is an awesome value for just over $25K. Comfortable, superb interior and the handling is very good. Turning radius is a bit more than I anticipated but still very good. Third seat standard is a plus. Plenty of power and options in the S. Everything is engineered and placed perfectly. Looking forward to years of service from this SUV.

I recently purchased a 2008 LE with the V8. Gas mileage is as expected, however the power is more than I thought it would be. The Navigation system is second to none and the versatility of this vehicle is superb!

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder LE this car has a transmission problems and I don't think Nissan will correct the problem. This is not the dealers problem.

"Great power (V8), good handling, great value for your money." I knew what I was getting into when buying the V8 so fuel economy wasnt a concern.

The only two things I dislike is one the dashboard design with cheap plastic material and second, the gas usage. Overall performance and handling is great.
