loved this car
I bought my Rogue February 2008, it was totalled on 11/25/10. After almost 3 years and 75,000 miles, i never had any problems. I was in a horrible front end collision that totalled 3 cars. My children and I survived without a scratch, the framing on this car held up and prevented the engine from coming in on the dash. I have read some of the reviews, however, i would recommend this vehicle solely on the safety it provided us. It also held up its value. my vehicle only depreciated by less than 1/3 of the price.

Fun to Drive - Not Reliable
I really love the interior, exterior and handling of the Rogue. However, at 22,000 miles I had to have the engine replaced and now I have a nasty sound coming during accelerations. I had both recalls performed including the CVT reprogramming and the steering problem. The dealer would not look at the noise unless I paid another $90 because it was over the 36,000 mile warranty by less than 500 miles so I decided to wait for the CVT to go and have them replace it since I still have my drive train warranty. So while a nice ride, it spends a lot of time in the dealer's service center. By the way I don't drive my cars very hard. Almost all highway mileage back and forth to work with only two small hills.

Drive Carefully!
Love our new '08 Rogue except for one major design flaw.... rear visibility. Extremely difficult to see traffic out the rear window, and also traffic approaching from the blind-spot on either side. Takes a while to get used to, and needs extra attention. Otherwise, great vehicle, goes in the snow, comfy, handling is superb. Pricing beats the CR-V and RAV-4.

Worst car I've ever owned
I have owned this vehicle for 11 months and it has been in the shop 6 times already for everythhing from a wheel bearing, to the bluetooth not working, and mysterious engine lights that go on for no reason. The latest, it actually died right on the highway. The engine actually seized and I couldn't brake or accellerat. The dealership doesn't know what's wrong and have not been even remotely helpful. Simply put, they don't care. I commute 100 miles every day and bought this thinking Nissan was reliable. I wouldn't waste my money on this car.

Great Car to quench the SUV thirst
I own the 2008 Rogue for four months now. It is a great all round vehicle. You get great performance with no sacrifice of gas mileage. I get 24-26 MPG mostly city driving. It is very quiet (low wind noise) and gives a comfortable ride. I also own a Honda CRV so I can compare the ride and performance. Some cons are that the rear seat does not recline so rear passengers may not like it for long trips. The rear window is difficult to see out when backing up so you have to be careful and make good use of your side mirrors. It takes some time getting use to the CVT transmission as you keep waiting for the gears to change. All in all I Love the Rogue.

Great SUV
I had a 2003 Xterra, but I was hit and it was totalled so I had to get a new car. I test drove the Rogue, CRV, and Rav4, and I thought the Rogue had both beat. Not only did it crush the other two with styling, the price is comparable. I got a Gotham Gray SL w/Black leather, premium package, and leather package. I love the way it drives and the way it looks. I've got about 1,000 miles on it so far and am averaging 25mpg with 80% city driving. You definitely will be happy with this car if you purchase.
