Good car, but why the paint chipping?

I purchased this model New from big local Nissan dealer in my city in 2016. Mine is the blue model. Has great gas mileage, to this day. Was a good deal, on a basic car, with no frills. Worked great until 3 summer, right after 3 year warranty expired, the A/C totally quit. Had it checked, was the compressor. Over $1,000 fix. About the same time, strangely the paint started bubbling up in the between the rear doors on both side, and in crease where rear window meets the trunk. Flake after flake, will not stop and now a large section is gone on both back sides. For a 3 year old new car at the time, I was not happy. It is now 7 years old, and the chipping continues. Disappointing, and I have seen many of the same complaints online.

Recall CVT Trans. for 2016 Nissan Versa Please!

CVT Transmission expensive to fix!-bought the car in 2019 for $10k. At 94k miles, CVT transmission goes out. The cost to replace is $8k. Does this make sense? It's still sitting in the driveway.

cheap car

i bought this car about 3yrs ago. I had it about a month and the glove box latch broke then the whole glove box came out so had to shove it back in there. so i have to tie it shut . then the light for the shifter wont work unless you hit shifter. the a/c wont work unless you are going down the highway. if i want the heater to work right i have to turn the fan all the way up or else it barely works. this car was put together very cheaply. plus if its windy it will move all over the place. so i just use it to go back n forth to work thats it.

Very Reliable.

It may not be the prettiest car, it's not a 300 for sure.... But I will say it is very reliable. It hasn't broken down after 70k miles of owning it. I use to be a CDL driver and try to take care of any vehicle in my possession. Economy on the vehicle is great, usually averaging 36 miles per gallon. It's small, living in the city means it is great for tight spaces. No extravagant luxuries, very basic, not very comfortable for long trips, but if you can suck it up, it will get you were you need to go without breaking down

Would not recommend

I bought this car in 2017, once I got to 33k miles the radiator stopped working. It was replaced. At 50k miles the serpentine belt started to make a squeaking noise, it was replaced. It is now making the noise again at 58k miles. Overall I feel like for a car bought new from the dealership used for home to work commute. It has been giving a lot of issues and it is not reliable. I would not recommend and would not buy from this make again.

Transmission Nightmare

I would not recommend this vehicle! The transmission goes out every 60k miles and is a $5k+ fix! Save yourself the headache and buy something else.
