2006 Pontiac G6 consumer reviews

Bought this car at a junk auction. It was in poor shape but I knew that going into it. It was a jewel of a find 06 gtp. It's my fun summer's only, occasional driver. I gutted all the seats and replaced them with leather as well as fixed the interior. Car had lots of mechanical issues as well but the engine was and still is strong. Its a fun car to buy and take under your wing as a collectors, project car. Lots of cheap parts in the junk yards now. I would not recommend this car for a daily driver unless you plan on spending a lot of money fixing stuff. The cars are old.

I have an 06 4 door GTP, comes with an amazing SUPERCHARGED 3.9L, looks sporty and even muscle car ish (besides the front headlights I just replaced them with halos because the stocks looked a bit buggy), the GTP rims look better than Camaro SS rims in my opinion, performs perfectly and amazingly,great gas mileage, fire hot heat, ice cold AC, I love racing people on the street in this car because I leave 90% of them in the dirt as soon as I takeoff, many compliments on the looks and rarity, power seats are heated and most comfortable I’ve ever had, in the snow I make truck look like nothing when it comes to handling, sound system POUNDS super nice, smooth ride, very minimal inexpensive issues at 170k, does some aggressive smoky burnouts, and very reliable too, no matter what, -20 degrees out, 97 degrees, it has never let me down, every time I turn the key she fires up loud and proud in 1 pull!! ETC. With all of that said, I wouldn’t trade this car for anything else. The 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP 4 door sedan is definitely a great performer, reliable till the end, beautifully and uniquely designed car 1000% Best car I’ve ever owned and very very highly recommend it.

Its a very nice car. Love my black leather seats. The roof is super fancy. Might be an older car but its definitely a good one.

It's a good one apart just needed a motor thought it was my fans but it needs a new head gasket in or water pump in high miles age

I’ve put so much more money into it than it’s worth. Once I get something fixed, something else goes out. Like I just replaced my entire brake line after a year of having a new one and now my power steering is out. Also, my RPMs when I try to drive over 40 shoot up to 6000 and the car with lunge forward and struggle to go over 40. Once in cruise at about 65 to get to work, it ranges from 3000-4000rpms. Definitely not kid friendly either cause the hooks on the seat to strap a car seat into pop out. Learned that while trying to put a car seat in there and as we were driving the hooks came out and the kid was laying on her side in the car seat. The only thing that really saved that kid was the seatbelt, if it weren’t for the seat belt she would’ve slammed into the seat infront of her.

I bought this car used 5 years ago. Has over 200 thousand miles. It's just now giving me small problems. Great car. Motor sounds good. Smooth ride.

I own an 2006 Pontiac G6 Gtp I love it to death it good on gas it got some major recall problems that needs to be I hate to get rid of it but I can't afford fix it

This car met all of my needs. It has 2 USB Ports, great sound system, and it provided enough leg room (I’m 6 ft tall). Worked great for my constant 3+ hr trips.

Think is a great running car with a strong motor the tour liable in any situation almost I would recommend this car to a brand I think it's a great starter car and I would buy another one in a heartbeat

Bought this car new in 2005. It was a G6 GTP coupe 2 door. Silver with black pin stripe. Had very little problems, reliable, lots of power inside and out. Many nice features. I could of kept it forever
