Never Failed Me
Talk about bang for your buck. There's no cooler looking car (I think) and it's NEVER failed on me. NEVER had a breakdown, ALWAYS rides smooth. Just read a review about needing axel something ... where you driving the car, dude????? Definately will be one of my favorite all-time cars.

Good car lots of maintence
I've had my G6 since November 2007 Ive had to get a new set of tires, 3 tie rods, all new wheel barrings, and a new steer column motor. I love my car though minus all the money I have tied up in it just because it is so sporty yet affordable and fits my needs.

No more GM
I had G6 4 years .60.ooo miles , not many problems problems , exelent for gas , V6 -22-24 MPG in city . But ..........I lost $ 15.000 in 4 years on this car . I got brand new for $ 22.000 I trade in for $7.000 after 7 years . Cheap interior materials , cheap seat cussion . Changed hubs , both sides front , 3 times rotors and pads , head lamp , batery and few things not very important . I do not recomend to buy G6 -you will loose money . But HONDA , TOYOTA , cars keeps value better than GM . Make smart choice .

junk
Next to my 1996 buick regal (lemon law), my 1998 pontiac gran prix gt (8 trips on oil leak before repaired) this 2006 g6 is just a little better than the buick and just a little worse than the gran prix. It don't surprise me that pontiac is out of business. I'm more surprised that detroit hasn't shut down. My daughter has the g6 which is just another g.m. piece of junk. What hasn't gone wrong with it is the best question. I've gone to toyota and will get her in one the next car.

Good car
I bought this car new in 2006 and have driven it for nearly four years. The headrest stuck in the back of my head so I switched the back seat head rest with the front and it's much better now. I like the easy oil change but ecotech oil filter is a few bucks more. Make sure you use the emergency brake, and pump the break pedal while the emergency break is on to adjust the rear breaks. Otherwise your front breaks will wear fast. I've driven it on three vacations 12 hours each way and so far it's great! Fantastic gas mileage, AC everything works great.

Great Car!
I love this car. I own the GTP version, and it is a blast. I have also owned the v6 version of the Mazda 6 and this is a much better car all around. I can't speak to the other models but the GTP is has plenty of power and great suspension and powerful if not over powered brakes. The governor does stop the car at 115 but be sure it reaches it quickly. It has been a great car and I've had it for 2 years now and haven't had any problems with it. You wont find a better price to power ratio than this car.

$16000 problem
I bought my 2006 G6 when it was 11 months old with 16k miles. The vehicle drove great for the first year. 14 months after buying it, the rack and pinion system became unreliable. I ended up taking it to the dealer and paying $1,500 to fix the rack and pinion, intermediate stearing column, and tie-end rods. 4 months later, the same problem is occuring. I'd like to take it back to the dealer to have it fixed as it is covered for 1 yr, or 15k miles, but my fuel pump and batterey have decided to go out this week. Remember, this is all on a 2006, a car that is 2 and a half years old. It may be just mine, but the G6 has been nothing but problems for me. I would'nt recommend it to anybody.

Not a bad car for the money
I've had a G6 GTP 4 door w/ 15K miles for about 2 months now. It handles nicely, has great acceleration, good features. Only 3 things I don't like about the car: sometimes shifting into 2nd gear isn't as smooth as it should be, panoramic sunroof rattles and has air leaks when closed, and cheap plastic framing on seats. Other than those things, I love the car for the price. Next time though, I'll probably fork out the extra $5K bucks for a japanese or german car.

Excellent first car
This is the first new car I have ever owned and it has been absolutely spectacular. I bought it after test-driving 16 other cars, ranging from the Ford Fusion to the Chevy HHR, and I have not been disappointed in my choice. The engine is exceptionally quiet even at highway speeds. The transmission has no problem picking the gear I want, which is unusual for me, given that all of my cars prior to this one had had manual transmissions. The rear seat has ample leg room for friends and family. The fuel economy is pretty good, as I generally get around 30 mpg in combined driving.
