I really wanted to not like this car

I was very surprised that I liked this car as I have seen very little coming out Detroit that I can warm up to. This rental did a 500 mile 24-hour trip without a flaw (26,000 on the odometer). Other than eating my wife's CD everything worked well -- nothing specatular but very adequate. The biggest problem encountered was the massive blind spots using the side mirrors. Not sure I would buy one but would not bad mouth it either.

Hugely Disappointed with G6 GTP Coupe

Just like 'Unhappy G6 Owner' from Toronto, I have also owned my G6 GTP Coupe for a year and a half and have nothing but problems with the car. The problems started with the engine light always going on. There were a wide variety of things tried and after about 12 visits to the dealer, it has remained off. They have replaced the fuel canister as well. The transmission does not shift smoothly and while accelerating it often does a hard shift but it all checks out at the dealer. I have had both seat handles replaced twice (one actually broken by repairman at dealer, lol) , the seat belt retractor once, interior light displays and the seat belt sensor which was going off on the passenger side when there was no passenger present. Now, the plastic interior molding behind the window is bowed out as if it was warped in the sun for years, exposing all the wiring underneath. This is my last free repair as my warranty is up and I am not sure whether to trade it or extend the warranty. It is a shame because I do like the car other than the problems I've had and I must say that it handles excellent in the snow/rain and sleet of Chicago.

Very disappointing (G6 GTP Coupe)

I've had this car for a year and a half now and it has been a series of problems since. Initially it was a leak in the drivers side pillar. The leak was fixed, but now I need to take it in again to fix the wind noise coming through. I recently had a new transmission put in due to a defective 2nd & 3rd gear. After waiting 6 weeks for one to be shipped from Germany, it still feels sticky and almost unwilling to go into the next gear. Now it seems that the computer is the next issue. My check engine light is on, and the message center is telling me that it's time to change my oil, despite the fact that the dip reads full and it was changed only 2 weeks ago. I knew that getting a 240hp/241 ft. lbs. car with front wheel drive would pose certain issues. I didn't expect that much torque spin from the car; it almost rips the wheel out of your hands. This defeats the whole purpose of having the power to begin with. Odometer reading on the car: 17,300 km (10,700 mi)

Best car I've ever owned

I was really surprised when the salesman brought the g6 up for me to test drive. I had told him what I was looking for and he showed me a 2006 g6 gt leather seats moon roof ect. all the bells and whistles .

An actuall great touring car!

This car is great on long trips. No fatigue at all. The only thing that I don't like about the interior is I can't find a comfortable place for my left arm to rest. But other than that, PERFECT CAR!

I was sold as soon as I sat in it!

I have always been a full-size car kind of person. Event though the G6 is a mid-size, inside it looks and feels roomier than some full-size cars I've had. It is extremly fun to drive once you get used to the electronic stearing. The car seems to have endless exceration when needed (GT model). I don't think you could find a better deal for the money than the G6.

First ever Earth Bound Rocket! G6 GT

This car is what America Should be simply put. It looks sportier in all black/crome, with the retractable roof feels like i'm about to take flight. It also feels and rides like a luxury car, I sometimes forget that it's a 4 door sedan. The leather quality isnt bad. everytime I get into mine I have the feeling of conformity. like it was built just for me. KITT eat your heart out, G6 GT is King...

RENTAL

I rented this car for 1 week and I love this car! When I rent cars to go home I usually ended up with the 2006 Chevy Malibu's. I was impressed with those as well and was possibly considering to get one. But, now that i've rented the G6. I know exactly what I will be getting as my next car!! It rides sooo smooth and is very stylish.

Pontiac retractable hardtop convertible

car is quite, hardly any wind noise with the top up and is fun to drive with the top down ,Steering is a little to tight for my taste but otherwise it is a great fun car to drive. The top operates flawlessly
