Great Convertible "07"

First convertible ever purchased and it has been quite interesting. First off the style and the way the top goes down is a attention getter all the time, its pretty cool how it transforms itself from coupe to vert in 33 seconds. I've had the car since oct 2007 brand new with all options, I just wish GM wouldve put the GTP badge on my 3.9L vert and also Vanity lights and OnStar but other then that the car is great drives like a big coupe. Gas isnt that great but if you drive with the flow there shouldnt be a problem. Car only had one problem, after 9,000 miles the muffler system shot out. Went back to dealer and they replaced the whole thing. Now the car has 21,000 miles and no problems*! Yea lots of miles lol.

"Most fun to drive"

We bought the hard top convertible and absolutely love it. There is a cockpit feel to it which feels like the car is wrapping around you. This is our fourth pontiac. The only downside is the trunk space when the top is down. There isn't any. We'll work around that though because we love the convertible. The G6 also has loads of extra features that we only found out about after we bought the car. Great!!

Very Fun Convertible for the Price

The hardtop convertible is a great feature, along with the heated seats and leather. This car is sporty and fun. The red interior display along with the exterior design on the G6 GT definitely attracts the youthful. The only downfall is that the turning ratio could be better, along with the horsepower (only 252 with 4 Liter engine).

Lemon

I have had the car in the shop 7 times, and it has less than 4000 miles on it. I believe they rushed the convertable into production before getting all the problems worked out.

I Love IT!

THIS CAR DRIVES LIKE A DREAM! I LIKE A SPORTY LOOKING CAR AND THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST LOOKING CARS ON THE ROAD-ESPECIALLY FOR THE MONEY! I HAVE THE 4 CYLINDER AND EVEN IT HAS GREAT PICK UP! MY HUSBAND AND SON ARE BOTH OVER 6' AND THEY SAY BOTH THE FRONT AND BACK SEAT ARE COMFORTABLE. I'M SHORT AND THE ADJUSTABLE STEERING WHEEL WORKS GREAT FOR ME!

Must've gotten the bad egg!!

I purchased my 2007 GT covertible in October. My beautiful red car had a total of 11 miles on it and I knew something was wrong. It seemed that I got the reject car off the line, at least in the transmission department!! I did not have the car a day yet and it needed new trans... Obviously a manufacturer defect, so the dealership refused to give me a new one, instead they opted to put a 2nd "brand new" transmission in it. Needless to say, they did credit me the amount I paid for my extended warranty, and will be honoring that by themselves. Ultimately, this car style, make and model are well worth the price tag! I tend to hear alot of noises coming from the trunk, where the hard cover rests, but I think that is due to the 20 degree weather we have had. The engine has some decent kick and the 18" wheels and rims are sweet too!! If I had to do it all over again, without the tranmission problem or that the top will not retract in weather under 35 degrees, my answer is YES!! But, for the 2008, a keyed glove box and center console would be nice!

fun car to own

Did alot of thinking before buying this car. Wife and i enjoy driving in nov. with the top down. I read the experts reviews, don't quite agree with some of the negitive comments. I own 3 1967 pontiacs, conv. GTO and station wagon. Not nearly as powerful as my other cars, but, quitier, comforitable and just as enjoyable.

This Car Really is Fun to Drive

I purchased the GT model so it has a few upgrades. I particularly like the manual shift mode that comes standard and lets you go from auto to manual with the tap of the shifter. It's great! Auto when you're in traffic and don't fell like shifting, manual when you do. Leather package is nice, including the steering wheel and shift knob. Mine included the heated seats and remote start. Already this has been a plus on chilly evenings. There seems to be plenty of room in the backseat. No complaints from any of my passengers. Trunk has plenty of room for my groceries, etc. I haven't had this car long but so far no problems whatsoever. The only inprovements I would make would be a lock on the glovebox. This would be especially useful on the convertible. The tilt/telescoping wheel really doesn't adjust far so I still have to move the power seats back and forth to get in and out. The console has an accessory charger which is nice for cell phones or Ipods, but the outlet is near the bottom so once I throw some stuff in there I can't even find it. The driver information center included in the radio is a nice little extra. I like to see the outside temperature, MPG, oil life, etc. So far this car is averaging 22 MPG around town (I did fill the tank and calculated it). The one time I drove the interstate the information center said it was getting 30-32 MPG but I don't know for sure how accurate that is. As far as value for the money, I traded a 2000 Grand Am SE in for this one and feel like I really got a bargain. The G6 sticker price was $4000 more than I paid for the Grand Am SE 7 yrs ago but it has the GT package, 17" chrome rims, leather, auto/manual transmission, 3.5 liter versus 2.4 in the Grand Am, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, 6 disc Monsoon stereo with controls on the steering wheel, the driver information center and more airbags than I can count. So far, I am very pleased with this car and expect I will keep it another 7 years like I did my last one.

Funnest Car I've Driven

I work for a car rental agency, we usually get to drive the cars around to do what we need to do. Let me say that the G6 GTP Sedan is incredibley fun. 0-60 listed around 6 flat, and that's quick. most co-workers/customers would rather drive this car than any other offered. though a 6 spd. manual would be nice, the 6 spd. auto is very peppy and just being a 6 spd makes it fun. handling is abve avg. but maybe could be better. word is Pontiac is going all RWD though, so hey. GT Coupes are nice aswell and something different but could use a factory spoiler installed to bring the car's appearance out a little more. I would easily recommend ANY level of the G6 to anyone, whether it be a nice family looking for a small car (get the 4-banger) or if you want a little fun (GT/GTP) it can appeal to teenager, mom, dad, grandpa, just about anybody
