great ride

by pete from ca on Sat Aug 28 2010

a fun sports car. Very clean and well maintained. Becoming a collector's car- one of the last of the air cooled engines. Non- smoker car always covered and garaged.

Great Reliable Sports Car

by Porsche Enthusiast from New York,NY on Mon Sep 06 2010

I have owned several Sports cars but this one is the best I have ever driven. It handles like a dream and is absolutely reliable. It ia also a true classic with it's air cooled engine.

At Long Last Love

by Duckman from Waxhaw, NC on Mon Mar 28 2011

The Porsche slogan is, "Porsche. There is no substitute." They're right. The sound of the relatively big (3.6L), air-cooled flat six engine is breathtaking. Stepping on the throttle and running through the gears is a genuinely rewarding experience every time I do it. Think you want to turn and the Carrera turns. This car is awesome.

This is the last aircooled model and a beaut to look at. Fun to drive and not as pricey as the newer models. Great first Porsche.

A great car and true pleasure to drive every time!

by Porsche 911 993 Cabrio: a true joy to drive & own! from Bay Area, California on Sat Apr 21 2018

This car is reliable, fun, and a true pleasure to drive each time. I never get tired of of driving this car. And, it's always exciting to have the option of driving a 911 convertible. My car has never let me down. Top up or down, it's warm, comfortable and drives like it's on rails. Love it!

This is great car, I get thumbs up everywhere I go. While not the fastest car I've ever had, it is definitely the most fun.

Last of a dying breed.

by 95carrera from Lahaina, Maui on Tue Nov 03 2015

I have owned mine since 2001 and it has been a joy to own and drive. Normal wear and tear for a 100,000 mile cabriolet in sunny Maui. Engine has been bullet proof as well as the trans. Had to replace the clutch and flywheel at 90,000 miles and replaced the convertible top at same time. Other misc upgrades along the way but only to make the car better. A/C was repaired at 100,000 miles and was pricey but it was worth it. Last of the air cooled, hand built Porsches and looks like it could have rolled out of Germany last week. Prices are on the rise, get 'em while you can!

Our Take on the 1995 Porsche 911

German automotive pioneer Ferdinand Porsche was a man who marched to his own beat.

He never was much of a believer in putting the engine at one end of the car and the driving effort at the other. And when he designed the Auto Union race cars and Volkswagen passenger car, he combined the engine and drive system at the back.

This is the same principle embraced by the new 1995 Porsche Carrera Coupe, a fitting tribute to Porsche's work.

The 911, with its flat (opposed) six-cylinder engine mounted behind the rear driving wheels, is the model most associated with the Porsche name. And its general styling has been a Porsche trademark for the past 30 years.

With the 1995 Carrera, the body retains the... Read More
