What a fun car!

by Pearl Jim from Raleigh, NC on Tue May 02 2017

This car is just amazing! All other cars are just sloppy compared to this. It rides well and handles tightly. It is fast and with the manual transmission, it still accelerates like a rocket. I would implore anyone on the fence to jump over and join the grass on this side. You'll never regret it and will actually sing its praises.

The 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo

by Italian Porschephile from Chapel Hill, NC on Sun May 07 2017

Just purchased a 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo. Articles written by automotive magazines on this car are not hype. The 911 Turbo is the "real thing". Unbelievably fast and a dream to drive. Beautiful interior & exterior. Comfortable to drive over extended periods. Be prepared for some engine noise if you choose to drive in sport mode. The rumbling is addictive & a perfect sound for any sport car enthusiast.

Porsche 911 - Speedy Elegance

by Jianporsche911 from La Jolla on Tue May 09 2017

It was love at the first sight - I went to an auto show decade ago and went through the entire history of Porsche and never walked out of it ... from old fashioned master pieces to this its new madern visio of stuning appearance and quite power, it feels like ride a fine horse with personal bonding and intimacy.... i imagined all, it is in my dream. i particularly enjoy also deep gray with slight blue hue as exterior and burgundy red wine interior - the logo be true royale emblem.

I love it except for the engine stop feature and the inability to permanently deactivate this. The automatic emergency brake feature can be maddening!

5th Porsche, 2nd 911 Turbo S, and highly recommend

by Go Porsche or Go Home from Sarasota, FL on Mon Jan 29 2018

This truly is the ultimate sports car. I use it as my every day car, not just weekends as so many do and the quality, comfort and pure driving pleasure and fun is unmatched. I always hesitate to give up my old Porsche, but I am always amazed at how much they improve them even in a 2 - 4 year period of time. You always think that it can't get better, but it does! Amazing cars!!!

Head turner

by AsiaBlue from St. Louis, MO on Fri Sep 08 2017

From the moment you turn the ignition this car will turn heads! The roar is musical. The look is captivating. I'm not even a car enthusiast and I'm having so much fun driving this car.

Fun in the sun

by 2017 Targa s from Indio Ca on Mon Jul 10 2017

This car is all wheel drive which helps driving in mountain conditions or slippery or icy roads. The car is a 2017 Porsche targa 4s. It is a very smooth ride, can be converted to a convertible top and the visibility is better than a convertible due to wrap around glass back window. Gas mileage is averaging 28 miles per gallon which is better than advertised. The interior is very high quality materials. But mainly the car is very fun to drive.

Our Take on the 2017 Porsche 911

The verdict:

Even in base form, the 911 is a formidable performance machine, and a new turbocharged engine makes it even more potent.

Versus the competition:

The 911’s rear-engine setup makes it unique among its peers, giving the sports car a feel that’s all its own.

There is no vehicle that epitomizes the Porsche name more than the 911, and for 2017 the Carrera and Carrera S get significant updates, including new engines, updated styling and the addition of a standard adaptive suspension. Despite these updates, the 2017 edition is still the seventh generation, designated 991, which debuted in 2012. Compare the 2017 911 Carrera with the 2016 model here.

Today, Porsche will sell you no less than 14 varieties of the 911, with different engines, different roofs (coupes and convertibles) and different drivetrains (rear- and all-wheel drive). I tested a base 911 Carrera with the lowest starting price of any 911: $90,450 (including a $1,050 destination charge). The... Read More
