In '87 traded up from my 924, a lightly used '85. Loved that car, Guards Red & 5 speed manual. Handled incredibly well, and had it up to 130 (speedometer) on the NJ Turnpike once. Wasn't the fastest but nimble made it quick and I thought really good brakes. Saw many Corvettes disappear in the rear view mirror through the twisties in rural Virginia. It did develop a drive shaft problem & expensive repair. But I did most of the maintenance myself - changed timing belt, brake pads, oil, plugs, etc.

Porsche 944 review
Great styling - lots of fun to drive - good gas mileage - reliable - handles great, but not very fast. Main issues to look out for is timing belt and water pump replacement - costly, but has to be done. Great entry into Porsche ownership.. lots of these around to purchase..

Most fun car to drive I've owned
Nice car,never had any serious problem with. Love to drive it- good power for HWY cruising .Very stable on hi-speed, superior handling.
