    Land Jet

    I have owned many vehicles and I will always purchase a good SAAB 9000. They relatively easy to repair (if you can find the parts) and few other vehicle combine power, performance, and luxury in a usable utility form. If you are responsible for bringing the table, lunch, coolers, and drinks, and need to get there at 150 mph, you'd better either have a CTS-v wagon, RS-6 avante, M5-wagon, AMG wagon, or a 9000 Aero! You may think that I am exaggerating or embellishing the capabilities of these 225 HP vehicles when comparing them to the likes of 60K plus machines, but the reality is that every word of what I am saying is true. 9000 Aeros are not for the faint of heart when it comes to dishing out for repairs, but take one of the previously mentioned machines in for service and having a paid for Land jet makes the case for practicality every time. If you care for her, she will live longer than you. SAABs are notoriously gritty and can take anything that you can throw at them. You don't have to baby them and park it in the winter. They were engineered for lunatics, I mean enthusiasts! Ah yes, then there is the 29 MPG factor. None of the others can do that? None ! So to sum it up, if you have never driven one of these legendary vehicles, if you get a chance, challenge my assertions. And if you feel up to it, the land-jet hangs around Pittsburgh and challenges all comers. No, she doesn't ALWAYS win, but a fierce competitor she is, and will push you to 150 every time. The last V that we danced with backed down at 130 because the driver thought she was modified. It is not, my SAAB is as stock as possible, except for sticky pilots for those days when I just want to run her around the track. The company has gone the way of the Dodo bird, and the last of us SAAB folk are a dying breed holding on to our treasures. Makes you wonder why doesn't it?
