Lasted 15 Years!

My family bought this car brand new and we drove it for 15 years. I traded it in on a new car at about 240,000 miles, but she definitely would have lasted much longer than that! Best car I’ve ever owned.

bouncing and noisy

my mom just gave it to me, 2004, manual speed with only 48000 miles on it. on oahu, shes 83 yrs old and bought it spanking new. outside trim collects lots of dirt around and under it. inside feels like your driving a go cart that feels top heavy. when your making turns and hit a small little bump you can feel and hear the noise like some arm is gonna break, creaking noises, alot of it is plastic so try not to touch anything, ie int. lighting switch or dont press the hazard swich cause it may fall inside. the the mechanism that holds the shifter is made outta plastic it already broke once at 30000 miles. the door locks are a pain in the xxx. when you drive it locks, i would like to lock my own door not have it done for me. so i took the fuse out so each person can open it themselves or lock it. if you have to stop here and ther to deliver things while the car is running you have to use the open door button thingy whatever the heck you call it. the ac puts out cool air but when the suns out with the big front windshield it cancells ot out, you dont get cool at all you start to get in between cool and warm. very uncomfortable. i just end up putting the window down. keep all the rubber seals around the windows and doors clean, months ago,.. thanks mom..

Very reliable and great in the winter

Slap some snow tires on this and there is nothing this thing can't get through. Of course I had an AWD, living in Northern Michigan it is super necessary in the winter. Drove through snow up to the grille before with no issue. I always thought they were sorta ugly but fate led me to buying one and I ended up loving everything about it. Roomy inside and I loved the front seat's arm rests. I regret selling it and if I am ever able to, I would buy another to drive in the winter.

2004 redline saturn vue STILL in love with it!!

The only trouble i have had with my redline is the recall on the ignition... my driver window motor went out. .and my wiper motor went out at 99000 i think that is impressive! Hasnt been expensive to repair....other things are maintenance. Motor is smooth and quiet...reliable to start. LOVE driving in snow..NEVER got stuck....love the 250 hp (I can up most cars!) beautiful inside and out. Parts easy to get..hut my tires...that's a DIFFERENT story .have to wait 2 days to get them at car shop...UGGH..and at $300/tire INSANE...im keeping my redline til i have to PUSH it DOWNHILL

Routine maintenance.

V6 very high performance, fun to drive. Road noise is about the same as most moderately priced small cars. Current mileage 142,000 miles. Runs just as good as the day I drove it off the lot.

15 years, 419,000 miles and $2400 in repairs.

Used this car for work that occasionally took me on high voltage transmission line rights of way and it always got me there and back. Broke down once in my home town and only because I didn't change out timing belt when I should have.

Great quality

I purchased this hidden gem as a first car for my 16 year old. This was a very inexpensive car in great condition.
