Fun to drive
For the price it handles great! If you master the shifting has plenty of power. Gas milage is great at 28. The seat holds you in place on really sharp corners. I don't go to close to red line, I just have fun!

Finally an affordable rear wheel drive sports car.
My first car was a 1974 Toyota Celica GT and although it was not a high power car, it was fun to drive, extreamly reliable, and good on gas. I've been waiting for a replacement for a long time and I have not been disapointed. The FR-S is a blast to drive, very economical to operate, and hopefully as reliable as was the Celica. So far, 2500 miles, I have been completely satisfied and would recommend it to anyone. The styling is awesome, fit and finish is excellent, very comfortable to drive, and performs great.

Finally a new Toyota sports car
Very solid no flex car. Point and shoot handling and so much fun on tight twisty roads. I am getting 30 plus mpg and it is not quite broken in yet. Six speed makes sure you always have the right gear at hand. The car is very comfortable to drive long distances and has the best stereo I have ever seen stock. Very limited and I mean very very limited foot room in back seat. Also you would not want to be very tall either. It does make for good space for additional luggage or the dog. This is a wonderful fun fast car to take trips in. Love my FR-S.

Former M3 Owner
The car is great fun to drive, sticks to the road and handles beautifully. The BeSpoke sysyem stinks. The Dealer said "Just don't listen to HD radio for better sound". What??

Glorified go cart
This car is a blast to drive it makes you smile everytime. The handling and steering are fantastic and the suspension absorbs everything I can dish it and is not too harsh but it makes you feel everything in a very good way. The boxer engine has suprisingly strong torque off idle and luggs very well but will rev quickly when proded. amazingly it pulls highway speed up almost any grade in sixth gear and needs no downshift. It will also break the speed limit quickly with only one shift- redline in second (manual) is 58mph! So far I have had it to 103mph redlined in fourth. There is a deffinite flat spot in the midrange and the traction control is intrusive and heavy handed but it probably is keeping me out of trouble! Bottom line is a rediculously fun car to drive that turns heads and gets it! It has some quirks and I expect teething problems but his car will be legend in 20 years and as a pro mechanic I can deal with it and have sick fun doing it. It is so good I dont have imediate plans of mods but it will be in the future for sure. Don't hesitate if you are a gear head with tools and skills!

Awesome car; cheap interior.
This car is fun to drive, but if you're looking for luxury you might wanna look elsewhere. The FR-S has a super sporty exterior and great handling but the interior is much to be desired. A lot is made from cheap plastic and no design. The flip down mirrors do not even have lights and are very cheaply made. The rear view does not auto-dim, and the seats are like a suede/micro-fiber that everything clings to and constantly needs vacuumed. The floor mats are very nice and also snap to the floor so they don't slide around. The gauge cluster is sporty with digital display. I'm not sure if power seats are even an option? There were not models available with then when I purchased mine. Trunk space is minimal but that is to be expected with a sports car. The radio is simple and sleek looking but I plan to upgrade the speakers. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they are blown or just sound bad! I think those are my only peeves though that I had higher hopes for. Everything else is great! I love the design, the traction control setting, sport mode, paddle shifters, handling. It's a whole lot of fun on windy back roads! For the price, everything is right; however, I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for an upgraded interior. Im glad I have another car to drive daily and this frs is my play toy!

Can be better
Comfort: Seats are comfortable for a two door car, but it is way to small and fits anyone under 5''10. Im 6''1 and could not get my legs into it at all. Performance: Not bad if they are making it after the 86 corolla, but 200hp is not enough for this. Maybe if they add atleast 50 to 75 horsepower it will match up againts all other 4 cylinder competitors such as the civic, evolution, impreza, or the genesis along with sonata and optima and mazda speed 3. Suspension is amazing and the steering is phenominal for a two door. Exterior: Looks real nice, but a spoiler and a sportier body kit as another option could make itr a good seller. Interior: Clean and sporty as well as easy to navigate around. Looks to much of the scion tc inside. Value for the Money: For a car that does not have much option, $27,000 is to much. You are just paying for nothing and only because they worked with Subaru. $22,000 would make it worth it. Reliabiltiy: Its from Toyota so it will last, I dont know if the engine will especially if its from Subaru.

Good
I am glad that Toyota has stepped up and redesigned the all new sports car. This is the way how Toyota should have been. I was regret with the previous celicas that they have made. Those celicas had a great exterior design but lack of horse power. FR-S should have been the all new Celica GT-4. Good job Toyota!

Great little car
I have had my FR-S for a month now and really like it. It's small, cute and sporty and fits me great. When you fold the back seats down you get a lot more room than it looks like. The car has pretty good pick-up but can be a little sluggish at times. I am averaging about 30 MPG. There are some things that are not included with the car that surprised me....No AUTO headlights, no scrolling info on the stereo, no control of the Base or Treble on the controls and no controls for the stereo on the steering wheel. The back seat is very small and I do not think anyone will be riding in the back (no leg room). But overall the car is great! I know I will have this car for a few years!
