Ok but overhyped

Been waiting for a new, kind of back to basics sports car for a while. OK so it fills the gap but and it's close yet somewhat unsatisfying ( conmparing it to when I got my S2000 )

"Sweet" as can be!

Like an oversize go kart! Great lines! Great motor. Quick but not blindingly fast! MPG between 29 & 31 with only 700 miles on the clock. Only two complaints: gas filler tube on wrong (passenger) side, and BeSpoke is a joke because to use it you must have a Smart Phone, currently only an IPhone, later an Android will work! I have neither and do not plan to for as long as possible. The car is plain and simple so why shouldn't the GPS be the same? Otherwise, it's a real hoot, very good looking, fun to drive, and very economical. Get one before they figure out what they have and raise the price! ...... Daymakr!

very impressed

I recently purchased this car. It is my first stick shift and was surprised how easy it was to learn. The handling is amazing and toyota definately stepped it up with this car. For being light weight 200hp works well for it. I couldn't be happier with this car after sadly trading in my scion tc.

Awesome Machine, baby LFA

Sounds great, wicked handling, looks like the sexy Lexus LFA, and just draws all the attention everywhere you go! People actually get excited when they see it! Rear-wheel drive puts the fun back into driving, at an affordable price, thanks Toyota! You can feel how light-n-nibble and power to weight ratio is equivalent to performance of other V6 & V8 sports cars. Going 0-60 in 6.8 sec. ain't too shabby. Get it on the winding back roads and brother the racing seats hug you thru all the thrills and chills. Didn't get it sideways yet, but you can feel it would do it on command. Takes premium gas but gets 25/34/28 mpg so not a problemo. Tight and firm suspension, but handles smooth on the Interstate. Back seats are snug and can accomodate small children easily, even young teenagers. Traded my beloved Corolla for this package of fun and there are no regrets, especially since it was not a big jump in price. Test drove a Raven with a stick and ended up buying the Whiteout with auotmatic paddle shifter so wife and kids can drive. After 1 week of ownership had windows legally tinted and probably will continue to look for upgrades and accesories. You know Scion and TRD will have many to personalize your FR-S. Its the perfect fun daily driver and the "I can't wait" weekend-warrior/ auto-cross racer all-in-one.

Actually a great car!

Got the first one out of my dealership in Asphalt color. I absolutely love it. Impressive styling, though I like the BRZ aero kit better. Interior could use some help, namely the radio and that area. Knobs feel kinda cheap. DON'T listen to the people referring to "only" 200 hp... It's adequate to have some fun with. The real awe factor is in the twisties!! Take it around corners with some gumption and you too will fall in love! The front seats are pretty supportive... Back seats are pretty small, better to seat children. I never had a Subaru, but I like the exhaust note of the H4. That, paired with Toyota's direct-injection, proves to be a good, reliable engine.

It's not worth it

Beautiful on the outside, it could be even better, inside - not good, expensive for the specs (come on toyota? we are not stupid)

Is It worth it

Let me begin with pros: car looks great, reliability of toyota is legendary, fairly comfortable ride. Cons: only 200 horse power, camaro, mustang chalenger all have over 300 hp for the same price with same mpgs. Interior on the vehicle seems to be fom the last century.
