Nice for the price

It is a small car...It seats 3.5 people but is really built for 2. It gets respectable mileage. These are things that it promises and delivers. My experience has been that it is more than that. I use it to commute and buzz around town. My mileage results average about 40 or so most of the time and I find the car quite comfy. No it won't haul more than some groceries and small items, but i have a van for those occasions. It rides as well as my prev car (sonata) and is made with what seem to be higher quaility materials. Anyone expecting more than this should probably buy something else. I love this auto and am a very satisfied Scion customer.

Great!

I am a 37 Year old man 6'2" tall and weigh 235 lb. You would not think this car would suit me, but you would be wrong! I bought this car for work, I drive mostly in town and wanted some thing that got good gas mileage and was easy to park. This fit the bill for me exactly. I looked at many new cars before I chose this one. At first, I thought it would just be too small after driving my Lexus ES300 for years. But was amazed at just how roomy it really is! Very easy to get in and out of and the front seats adjust nicely. Keep in mind that I normally drive alone so I cant not complain about "no room for others". But if you need to haul around more than two adults, look else where. This car is great for a commuter and fits in places no other car can. If you read a bad review on this car, Stop and look at what they are complaining about. You will quickly see that they bought the car for the wrong reason and should have just bought something else! Always drive every car in the class you can before buying. Don't write bad reviews to cover your own mistakes :)

Who designed this car?

I've long thought Scions were intersting cars and that I would consider buying one. I did, and I'm sorry to say that this car has some real design problems I hope they correct. The front seats are very badly designed. It's one sold piece, so you can't ajust it. There is no back support, and the head support slopes forward, so your head is pushed forward all the time. It also has no indentation for the head which makes the angle of the head more uncomfortable. The seats are also too high for the reat of the car, about 4 inches. One of the air bags is under the seat, so it can't be lowered. I really don't understand how this happened. It's also very loud. I really wanted to like this car, but I"m afraid I can't. I'm living with it until my family and I can afford to replace it.

Too much for too less

I don't understand why Scion thinks it can sell this car for as much as they ask when the quality and MPG is sub par. You can get a 4 door Mazda 2 which looks better, bigger and gets better gas milage than this Scion iQ. I have owned several Scions and loved them. But it seems Scion has lost it's Mojo and has lost me as a customer. I prefer driving my Toyota Corolla S over this matchbox any day.

My Scion IQ 2012

Been driving my IQ for 2 weeks today in start and stop traffic and i still have a half a tank of gas. This Little car handles great and im in Houston Tx. It is comfortable for the front seats but however a little tight in the back. I find it very easy on the gas and it turns on a dime. Super easy to park. I find it very easy to look out while driving not finding any extra blind spots me being very short this is a huge plus. Comes stock with a nice stereo. This car is not super fast but i don't have a problem keeping up with the highway traffic either, would highly recommend this car to anyone.

My Scion

Ordered it in the middle of November, arrived first week of Dec. First one sold in Alaska. Is doing every thing I wanted. I don't fit the young tuner demographic, needed a urban, drive to work, visit my church family, hospital calls etc. Perfect for what I needed. To those of you that have read a marginal review, this one needs about 3 days, not 3 hours, to grow on you. It's not big, fast or a guzzler, it will get you there cheaply and in style. Should change Americas view of micro cars.
