Great low cost, low maintenance vehicle

Granted it?s not for everyone but this odd vehicle is fun to drive, get good gas mileage, easy to take care of and is low cost maintenance. Perfect for a in town drives with plenty of wide open space.

Very comfortable car for commuting!

I did not think I would like this car until I drove one. I used it for commuting 65 miles each way for work and it offered great leg room and comfort! It also had great gas mileage too!

13 year report

I bought this car in Summer of 2004 and I had to wait for it to be built . I was on a tight budget and needed a reliable car for the 22 mile trip to work. The XB was the easiest car I had ever gotten into and probably still is . If I had better credit I may have bought an Element but overall I don't regret it. After 13 year It still runs the same as the day I bought it and has not rusted at all Iooks pretty much like the day I bought it . It is comfortable and efficient for me and my small family for commuting , I like how dark it is at night and the speedometer in the center is an idea I wish other cars had. It carries four people in style or a baby truckload with the seats down in the back. It is an adventure in the wind but not all that bad in the snow. The shape does defy aerodynamics and I refer to it as the box kite occasionally but the traction control works well in sticky situations. The ride is verrrrry sporty much like a bobsled on rough roads but does not seem to suffer mechanically. The handling is superb an it can do magical things in terms of turning radius . The interior materials are not swank but take a beating without complaint or wear. It still has enough pickup and spunk for the highway and the CVT is truly miraculous . Mileage is good when empty but reduced when full and the small gas tank negates some of the advantage . It has gone through a few back hatch handles but they were in warranty and tires do not last as long as on other cars but they get a lot of tough work . Given a little TLC it should last another five years .

Best car I?ve ever owned

It?s extremely reliable, designed well, comfortable, and a pleasure to drive. And with an after-market stereo that includes hands-free talking the car got even better.

Love my scion

I want a fleet of them. Fuel efficient, very roomy, like a mini van that you can park in a compact car parking spot.

Favorite Car

Over the years have owned five first generation models. Currently have two 06s. Small but roomy. Easy to enter and exit. Mileage is good but wish it were better. Front of hood easily gets rock damage probably due to aerodynamics. Installed bras to lessen chance of nicks on my current cars. Notice other xBs with nicks. Have no problem with small motor. Downshift as necessary. Great view.
