  • The best toyota car

For teenagers who are about to get their leaners permit, i say this is the perfect first car. Its slow i know, but it will prevent your kids from speeding lol. Its very reliable, that i bought another xB. now i have a 2006 and 2005 Scion xB. I had my 2006 since 2007, at 30k miles. Now it has 411k miles with the same engine, transmission and head gasket. Whats crazier, is i just changed my original alternator from 2005 2 weeks ago on my 2006! My 2006 is just a regular car, a auto transmission. my 05, which i bought on November, is a manual sports car. It has a rare exhaust manifold, a chevy straight pipe camero piping and tiping, coming out from the middle of the rear bumper, which is very loud despite it being a slow car. I just gave it a spoiler, new stereo, new seat covers, new halogen spider headlights, new interior underglow, and pretty soon, i will give it a new paint!! I love Scion!!

  • This is one of the most dependable vehicles I have

Have a five speed it’s very zippy economical 34 miles to the gallon and it’s very comfortable to ride in space wise plenty of headroom plenty of lake room only thing I would like it be a consul in the middle but my emergency brake is in the middle because I have a five speed so I don’t get every wish I’d like but 95% of this vehicle is excellent

  • a powerhouse of a car!

im only 17 years and my parents bought this in Illinois when it first came out in 2005. We used our scion ( his name is DJ) for 6 trips from IL to FL. i now live in FL and when i turned 16 my parents gave me the car. I love it so much! now has 250,000 miles and still runs like a top! only con that is probably because it is 15 years old is the windows start not rolling up, and the AC broke in 2018 and had to be fixed.however it is very spacious and for a high schoolers budget... amazing on gas!!!

  • Great base vehicle, mpg, reliability!

We bought this new and drove it for several years, passed it to our kids and have it back again. It's still running and I will take it on a trip if I need to. I have a 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited for my go to vehicles. I use the Scion to knock about everyday, lay down the seats for hauling and generally drive for fun. It has a very enjoyable 5 spm. We get 30-35 mpg. The paint(even the top) and interior are in excellent shape. The air conditioning no longer works because of something under the dash that went out and cost too much for me to fix for an older car. The heater is still excellent. The vehicle is underpowered and sounds like its straining at highway speeds but it just keeps sawing away and never seems to react negatively to the pressure. I use non-ethanol gas and Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas and with the oil changes. I would certainly recommend this vehicle to someone if it had been well taken care of.

  • 264K trouble-free miles! Still drives like new

I have replaced the heater blower last year and the starter this year. Not bad when you consider this is a 14 year old car with 264k miles. You are not going to find a more reliable car at any price. Fun to drive with great visibility. Interior seats, dash, trim all still look great and exterior body shines like new!

  • Best overall car I've ever owned!

I have driven or owned many different cars in my 87 years . My dad owned lots of cars from a 36 chevy 4 dr sedan to Crosley (probably the first small car in the U.S.) not to mention various pickup trucks! My first car was a '53 MG TD, my emotional favorite. Then I bought a Volkswagon bug which I loved for it's dependability and mileage. Then I got a rear engine Chevrolet Corvair, dangerous.... but I survived. Drove an Mustang convertible as a company car. Bought an Oldsmobile sedan traded it in for another VW bug and in time got a Honda wagon followed by a chevy step van, a Toyota van, then a Mercury van and finally the Scion Xb
