Very impressive

This vehicle has been a pleasant surprise to us. Not only does it have a sharp look but we are amazed at how easy the technology is to use. We are also very happy with the performance.

Best suv we have owned

Had a highlander hybrid that was nothing but trouble. Purchased new in 2019. Stranded my wife multiple times. After driving a few suvs decided on the ascent touring. Night and day difference. A better car in every way.

Very Comfortable Interior

My last car was a 2008. So all the bells and whistles are née to me. I enjoy all of them. The most important thing was the interior space. I find the car extremely comfortable. I am sure there may be cars that have better engines, but I need to be comfortable.

Second Subaru

I’ve been driving a ‘03 Honda Pilot that we bought new, and it’s been a great car, but we decided to pass it on to our kids. We also own a ‘17 Subaru Outback that my husband drives and that’s been a wonderful car as well. So when it was time to add another vehicle, we test drove a Subaru Ascent, Honda Pilot and Toyota 4Runner. The Ascent was actually fun to drive, had a lot of get up and go and was cushy for my kids with all the bells and whistles and captain’s chairs. The Pilot was fine, but it wasn’t as exciting and it’s missing a console and a regular gear selector. The 4RUNNER is my favorite from the outside, but gets terrible gas mileage and had hardly any new technology above my 18 year old Pilot. We found a great deal on a new Ascent Touring, and have had it now for almost 2 weeks. Other than getting used to all the new car things and lots of technology, it’s been great. I do not feel that the gas pedal is touchy at all, as others have said. Going from a traditional transmission to a cvt is a little different, but I’m getting used to it and it drives a lot like our Outback. It doesn’t have as much cargo space as my old Pilot, so we may have to use a roof carrier, but unless you go to a full size SUV, it’s hard to get enough space for my liking. It’s very roomy and comfortable and we’re looking forward to taking a vacation this summer just so we can drive it out of town!

First Subaru I have owned.

I have owned several different autos and I think I am really going to enjoy this Subaru. It has a lot of features I like and once I learn everything on it, I believe it will be even better.

Love how it drives

Plenty of room, easy to drive, just the right size inside and out, love the subaru starlink, I can start my car from inside on these cold mornings, and have a nice warm seat.

Great Car for Travel

Purchased this car for travel. And while we haven't had the chance to really put it to the test yet, we are very happy on the trips so far. This car is comfortable to drive. Has good acceleration, nice handling on the curves. Very good safety features. Excellent visibility. The drivers access to controls is very nicely laid out. Plenty of cargo space, especially with the third row seats down. Gave it a 5 star for reliability but it is much to early to really know about that.

Very nice ride and major upgrade for us

Coming from a Dodge Journey SE 4-cylinder FWD vehicle and looking for a replacement in 2020, we test drove the Subaru Ascent and researched it well. It drives nicely in the city and on a highway stretch had a lot more passing power than our Dodge, but maybe people complaining are coming from a V6? The noise was far less than our Dodge as well and the numerous safety features feel like it's 50-60% the way to autonomous driving. Plenty of storage for us, handled the kids and the dog well. Going to buy this!
