Impressive value

This cat is great for a small family. It gets great mileage, has ample cargo room and is comfortable even on long trips. I've been most impressed with the handling and performance this winter on snow and ice. It crawls through snow and and ice without any trouble.

Senior driver

I've always wanted a Forester - for years! - but when Consumer Reports said this was the best car for senior drivers, I bought one. I got the 2018 model because it was almost the same as the current year, but it's a splendidly equipped car. I love driving it and love all the safety features. The visibility is terrific. It's a certified pre-owned car, so it's almost as good as new. I'm a little concerned that a short driver like myself will feel some shoulder fatigue on longer trips - the armrest between the front seats isn't long enough or high enough for short drivers, and isn't sufficiently adjustable. So there's nowhere to rest my forearms comfortably. But that's really the only thing.

Always feel safe in my Forester

I chose this vehicle after reading many reviews and comparisons to similar SUVs. I needed the adjustable seat and heated seat features and they are great. The ride is good and visibility is good, all important to me here in upstate New York winters.

Hate the forester

I have really begun to hate the forester. I bought one fairly decked out and now regret it to the max. The power hatch back is nothing but frustration! I generally open the hatch manually because the power option is way too slow and seems to always stop in some ridiculous place. Note on some occaisions, when manually pulling the door open the power assist kicks in and starts to close the door!. It just about trapped my dog on several occaisions and I just about ripped the door off trying to get it to open instead of close on the dog. So stay as far away as you can from this dangerous and unpredictable mess of a car.

Very sporty, handles great

Meets every need, roomy, drives great in snow, handles better than any suv I've driven. Look, design, USB portals, road side assistance, bluetooth, all great features

First Forester, fourth subaru

We needed a car with plenty of interior space to fit our dogs and camping gear, and wanted to be sure we would be ok in all kinds of terrain. The new forester sport checked all of the boxes. Comfy, gets us everywhere, and has all the features we need plus some we realized are nice. The only thing we miss is a manual transmission. Come on America....

My 3rd Subaru and love it!

I love my Forester! It has the features I wanted plus a few more. The safety measures are excellent. The dealership, Rafferty Subaru in Newtown Square, PA is a fantastic place to do business.

Bearing design problems.

We’ve own a 2003 and 2013 Foresters and both of them had extensive wheel bearing problems at around 40-60,000 miles, costing $1500 ea. Came to learn from a Subaru auto mechanic that Subarus have a design problem with bearing seals. We will not ownanother one in the future.

Hey I just got it home and I’m being optimistic

This was a pre-owned vehicle used lightly as a loaner. It looks, runs and even smells like new. And we paid a great price, no BS

A. Exceptionally nice car

The Forester is exactly what we were looking for. Reasonably priced, very comfortable, efficient for its size, smooth driving, excellent performing. Upright seating fits a wide range of sizes and is great for tall drivers. Excellent rear seat space. Very, very, good cargo space access. The interior is well laid out. Controls are easy to reach and easy to understand. One more thing, the climate control system is fully up to handling Phoenix summer weather.
