Nice little car, great value!

I've had my 2019 Impreza Limited wagon for a little over three years now. In general, it's an excellent car for the price, with many safety and other features found only in cars costing much more. The Eyesight safety suite, Apple/Android Carplay, and Synchronized All Wheel Drive are the highlights. These are advanced systems but are easy to operate intuitively. Other nice features are driver visibility, quality fit and finish, and easy-to-see dash controls. It's a nice looking car but exterior styling is a little clunky. Other low points are a jerky CVT transmission, lower-than-estimated MPG (but still not bad) even with conservative driving, and very low front-end clearance. This is a sensible, not sporty car. If you want a zippy small car, this is not it. If you want an affordable AWD that's reliable, you can't do better.

Great commute car

My first car/Subaru and i will never trade it in! i will drive it until the wheels and rims fall off! Eyesight technology has saved me countless accidents and also have saved pedestrians lives! Not happy about the gas mileage and speed but its a great car! I will forever be team subie!

Subaru is consumer friendly! True love!

This is my 4th Subaru, 1st new & 1st Impreza. I hated my early 2000 Forester-boxy/noisey loved both of my outbacks. Other than regular maintenance none of them had any major problems. Subaru of America never hides any issues or recalls, they have been quick to alert me and fix ALL. Every car company has recalls, sadly many companies try and hide the fact or sweep it under the rug so they don't have to fix it or pay up. Not Subaru in fact after my 3 year warranty ran out and they found an issue with the tires, Continental would not cover them nor prorate them. Yet SOA stepped up and paid for all 4 mounted, balanced, and alignment for FREE! Now THAT is a customer friendly car company in a world of rip-offs! They have me for life! I'm getting 30 mpg town and 40 highway! AWD that's awesome!

love my Subaru

Love my Subaru. Been a Subaru owner since 2008. the hatchback and fold down seats allow for excess storage and plenty of it, even being a small car. The cars height is perfect since I am 5'2. Its very comfortable, reliable, looks cool is fun to drive!!!

Defective 2019 Impreza

I bought this car new and have had to replace the struts twice with under 30k miles on it. Subaru paid for both repairs but it seems that the struts go out every 10 k miles. I am a grandmother not an off-roader! This must be due to some type of structural defect which Subaru hasn’t investigated. I feel that they have been putting bandaids on a major problem. I am registered with their consumer advocacy program. I would like to sell the car but hate the idea of passing this problem along to another unsuspecting person. Buyer beware.

Don't do it

I've had this car since I got it new in 2019 with 12 miles on it. I'm now just past 35k. I've broken down 3 times in the past 2 months and now have to trade it in or pay thousands. It might just be me but I would never recommend this car.

Not worth it

I bought the car thinking I would have this car for the next 10 years. I probably won’t keep it more than 10 more weeks! I’ve had continuous issue with my car shaking and making a loud noise when I drive on the highway. Subaru cannot find anything wrong with the car other than the brake pads need cleaned. A couple months before the brake pads and rotors had been replaced. The car had 16,000 miles on it. It’s pretty frustrating not being able to take my car on any highways for fear what will happen. The apple car play rarely works for my car. The touch screen is also touch and go. It will be fine for a couple days then not work the next couple days.

Great car for the money but....

there are downsides. Easy driving, comfortable, well-designed economy car, one of the best in its class, especially appreciate the AWD. Safety features so numerous it's almost overwhelming (assuming you have eyesight feature). But it is slightly underpowered, the CVT tran is not smooth, cruise control erratic (but adaptive cc is great). I am a featherfoot but only getting 25/32, well below EPA est. I recommend the car but shoppers should be aware of the flaws.

Love my car

Took a while to find exactly what we were looking for but had major problems with the dealership. It is hard to shop during a pandemic

Comfortable; but poor gasoline mileage.

i bought this to get a small hatchback/wagon with good gas mileage. The car is well made(paint, interior, detail, etc. with gadgetry and safety features galore)-in fact, the most expensive car I ever bought. But I've had issues since with torn gasket on moon/sun roof, two recalls on fuel system, necessary updates on audio system. All on a vehicle I've had less than 2 years and driven about 2,000 mi.-bought brand new! Drives beautifully, quite roomy; but gets about 19 mpg. on mixed driving when it was EPA rated at 26-28 in city and 36 on the road.
