Love it so far

Definitely a wonderful ride. Love the all wheel drive and it looks awesome. This is the first Subaru I?ve owned but so far everyone I know who has had a Subaru loves theirs so I believe this is going to be a great family car.

Best Value

For about 70% of the price of the competition I got all the latest safety and automation features, a great sound system, AWD to get up my steep driveway and for skiing and a really comfortable car. Very happy with our choice of a Subaru Outback Premium 2.5i. We are getting 34.5 mpg on trips to the mountains with the smooth CVT.

My safe Outback gives me total piece of mind.

My 2017 Outback with Eyesight is the best vehicle that I have owned out of the 16 new vehicles. I appreciate the adaptive cruise control. Automatic reverse breaking and great visibility. Plenty of room for five adults with all their luggage. His name is "Tank".

Very sure footed in any kind of weather.

The new body style is quite appealing. The 3.6r boxer engine is quite capable on mountain roads in Colorado. Symmetrical AWD w/Xdrive works wonderfully in inclimate weather. The CVT transmission shifts smoothly and effortlessly. Gas mileage is really very satisfactory averaging 20 city and 27 highway. The new leather interior update is pleasing to the eye. The lane sensing w/blind spot detection works well when changing lanes in traffic. A great safety feature! The HID headlights are bright and work well on darkened highways late at night. Fog lights turn with the car illuminating corners. Plenty of storage space wth with push buttom rear gate. The navigation and voice activation are super intuative and the electronics function flawlessly. I am 6'2" and fit very comfortably with 43.5" of legroom and spacious headroom. The same comfort is available for passengers front and rear. Subaru did an amazing job on the 2017! I highly recommend the new Subaru Outback for it's reliabilty, ease of drivability and overall value.

Bad outweighs the good on ours

Radar for backup and lane change is excellent. Cruise control follow is awesome. Cruise control doesn't hold speed well on our 2.5. Hill assist park brake engages and sometimes very hard to make it release. Head unit locks up along with steering wheel controls. Obstacle detected comes on randomly when driving in good conditions, Rolls backwards 6-10 ft when backing out down an incline then placing car in drive and pressing the gas, drive engagement is slow 1 to 3 seconds. Dealer says all these things are normal.

Practical, Reliable, Safe, with Good Gas Mileage.

Honestly it is slow, but it gets great gas mileage and is incredibly safe and reliable. If you want more power get the 6 cylinder. We purchased this Limited to replace my wife's 2012 that was totaled in a 45mph accident. The interior is nicer than the previous model, but the clock was lost in the rearrangement of the new interior and the stereo can be hard to read if the sun is glaring just right. Limited offers lots of features like: Heated rear seats, reclining rear seat, Power lift gate, Lane departure warning, adaptive cruise, stop assist, Navigation, Sunroof, etc... The adjustable memory power lift gate can become possessed and not go up all the way, but it is easily reset.
