Good deal for low end car/suv.

by Maje from Jasper,Tn on Thu Sep 28 2017

Interior is perfect size for average woman. Handles well in town and on hwy. Although it is a mini suv, it has plenty of room for bi-weekly grocery trips. No special amenities.

terrific little SUV

by joker from seattle, wa on Thu May 03 2018

I love the convenience and reliability of this car. I have horses so need to load up hay and grain weekly. The Suzuki is super convenient with its swing back door for my purposes. Always starts right up and goes anywhere.

This is a great little SUV. I bought it new and it still looks new. People are shocked when they hear it an 2002. (2009)

Satisfied with the Grand Vitara

by Don from Gladstone, MO. on Sat Feb 28 2009

The Grand Vitara is an exllent second car and to tow behind a motorhome. I purchased my 2002 in 2004. With the manual transfer case you just put it in neutral with the automatic transmission in park. You can leave the key in the off position for towing if you follow this procedure. (Unlock the steering wheel by turning the ignition on,and then turn the key to the lock position. Caution: donot remove the key. As long as the key remains in the ignition the steering wheel will remain unlocked). I have used this procedure sence I purches it in 2004 and it works fine. The odomator does not register miles and everything is off so the battery will not rundown while towing.

Our Take on the 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara

Before confusion sets in, or we knock our knees against another dashboard, let's provide a few clarifications about the 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara.

One, when it comes to proportions, it's not really all that grand.

Two, we still don't know what Vitara means. Try to ask Webster's for help, and Vitara won't surface.

"It expresses freedom, adventure and a zest for life," Suzuki says, providing some lexicon relief.

Try to squeeze a couple of six-footers into the Grand Vitara, and you'll be left with a grand case of leg cramping.

As hard as we tried to fall in love with the little sport utility from Suzuki, the more we wished they still just made fast motorcycles. And as hard as we tried to comprehend why... Read More
