Best car I've ever owned.

I've driven for Alfa, I've owned a BMW 3-series, and I love this car. Wonderful acceleration --- especially when speeding past dangerous situations on the freeway --- flat, stable cornering at speed, comfortable ride (I'm a sports enthusiast rather than a luxury-ride fan), and the car has already saved my life once. An excellent combination of pure enjoyment and safety.

Not happy, wait for other brands or reduced price

just the name, price reduced by $6K from Nov to now, small mirrors, other safety issues not included std,. in other cars, overall design is ok but you can get better e-car from BMW or GM

too many problems with no quick assistance

The day I received my model 3 I realized there was a plastic part detached from one of the front trunk hinges. Also, the weather trim of the back trunk was off the groove. I am still waiting (4 weeks later) for them to find the parts and come to fix the problems. Today the rear camera stopped working. I was told it needs recalibration. I live 3.5 hs from the closest dealership. A mobile technician will call (hopefully) to arrange for appt. This is a 74K $ car. I was not expecting this type of issues. I owned a Q50 infiniti (52K $) that had not a single issue in 94000 miles.

The best car I ever owned

Mr red Tesla is a mind blowing machine in every aspect from its design, technology, performance, this car is sexy. I've owned the vehicle for 5 months and I look forward every morning to take it to work and I count the minutes to finish my working shift to hop into my dual motor model 3 to go home, I drive about 17 miles on the freeway each way and I use my Autopilot every single time and it takes all the stress out and let you enjoy your time by looking around and enjoy music. This is my 1st Tesla and I am saying goodbye to all conventional cars because what tesla did in one decade is far more advanced and comfortable rides than any other car company that've been around for century.

One of the most reliable cars I have driven.

Lots of legroom ,with large spaces for rear and front.great visibility all around vehicle. Drivability and maneuvering is out of this world.I love it and recommend it to everyone.

Best car I've ever owned

Tesla Model 3 is well beyond my expectations. Drives better than Model S. I owned Mercedes and Infiniti before and Model 3 easily surpasses the already high bar set by the previous cars. It was worth the wait.

More fun to drive than any other car I've owned...

I've owned LOTS of cars in the 40 years I've had a driver's license, but my Model 3 "Performance" is the one of the few that makes me look for excuses to drive it! The instantaneous power is awesome, as is the handling and seat comfort. The premium audio system is also one of the better I've heard. One test drive will leave you with little doubt that electric cars are the future of the automobile. The smoothness, simplicity, almost complete lack of required maintenance (basically just a brake fluid change every 2 years) and the extremely low (100+ mpge) running costs are THAT convincing. What don't I like? It's not as quiet at highway speeds as it could be, and the ride is definitely "sports-sedan-firm". Not uncomfortable, actually, but it's more BMW M3 than Lincoln/Cadillac in that regard. Mine was essentially flawless on delivery, and it's an absolute riot to drive, with acceleration that shames even high-performance sports cars. The other thing that has been really gratifying is just how solid the car feels. The chassis is very stiff and provides a stout, safe feeling going down the road - love that! I spent the last 20 years driving Audis, and traded an S6 on the Tesla. The Audi was an $85K vehicle, while the Tesla is more like $65K, but I don't feel like I've "moved down" at all - on the contrary - the Tesla is WAY more fun to drive, if not quite as traditionally luxurious. The Model 3 may not be for everyone, and potential buyers should do their due diligence research before committing, but I'm gonna bet that if you drive one and can afford it, you're gonna buy one!

Don't buy this car if you live where it gets cold

I was so excited when Tesla came out with the Model 3. I do believe EV's are the future and I took advantage of the tax credit to get a $50,000 for $42,000. The Good: Driving experience is great. It's fast and handles well with the low center of gravity. You get used to the touchscreen - it shows the speed in the left side so it's really not that much worse than a true heads up display/dash. Most of the settings can be set to Auto so the concerns around wipers, lights, etc aren't a big deal. You do have to be a bit tech savvy for this, but otherwise it's fine. The Bad: The advertised range is baloney, especially if you drive above 50 MPH, and that's before I just found out (the hard way) on what happens when it's cold out - the range gets cut IN HALF. To the point where I don't trust the car to go on any roundtrip over 100 miles when it's freezing or below (aka, winter in Ohio.) I was shocked at this and didn't understand why, then found out it's because Tesla excluded a battery heater like it has on the S/X. This is not disclosed anywhere I can find, and I would not have bought this car if I had known. This is my only car so this is a problem for me. Other issues: Paint quality coming out of the factory is bad. I took it to a "Tesla certified body shop" and they made it worse. I give up. I called for Service for other fit and finish issues that I would like fixed (little stuff, like the vanity mirror falling off) and the wait is months long. I went and crazy glued it (yes, on a new $50,000 car.)

Good performance, poor reliability, range iffy

The rest of the reviews on here are seem to be written by Tesla. I know a LOT of other Model 3 owners and no one is as over the top about it like these folks. It's fun to drive. The performance is great, the torque is instantaneous. This is a quality of electric motors. The lack of a true dashboard really isn't a bad deal, provided the wipers work on Auto like they're supposed to (it's hit or miss.) The quality is generally poor. The paint job was clearly rushed, which I realized after the purchase. My issue, and the reason I'd never recommend one of these, is the reliability. This has already found itself in the shop 3 times, each time out of commission for weeks. Tesla is unresponsive and it takes many phone calls and emails to actually get their attention. I bought earlier, but apparently there is a 2 month service wait now. Also - the stated range - that's if you drive 50 MPH, it's not cold out, and you don't use the heater.

Coolest car I've ever owned

The lap top dash has got to be inset into the dash. It looks so stupid sitting on the dash. needs gauges in front of the driver too.
