Good performance, poor reliability, range iffy
The rest of the reviews on here are seem to be written by Tesla. I know a LOT of other Model 3 owners and no one is as over the top about it like these folks. It's fun to drive. The performance is great, the torque is instantaneous. This is a quality of electric motors. The lack of a true dashboard really isn't a bad deal, provided the wipers work on Auto like they're supposed to (it's hit or miss.) The quality is generally poor. The paint job was clearly rushed, which I realized after the purchase. My issue, and the reason I'd never recommend one of these, is the reliability. This has already found itself in the shop 3 times, each time out of commission for weeks. Tesla is unresponsive and it takes many phone calls and emails to actually get their attention. I bought earlier, but apparently there is a 2 month service wait now. Also - the stated range - that's if you drive 50 MPH, it's not cold out, and you don't use the heater.

Coolest car I've ever owned
The lap top dash has got to be inset into the dash. It looks so stupid sitting on the dash. needs gauges in front of the driver too.

Outstanding Performance
The car has exceeded all my expectations, great performance, excellent visibility, great breaking, NO Problems. Over the holidays a Porshe and Mercedes owner drove my car and they both stated... the Model 3 is my next car.

Best Car I have ever owned
Amazing acceleration. I beat a Mustang GT and Porsche 911. I love the instant Heat and the fact that the car doesn't need to warm up to get the most out of the engine. The All Wheel Drive is great for winter time.

Most intelligent & safest HIGH Performance sedan!
A comparison between Tesla Model 3 and BMW 3/4 series: Performance: The all important 0–60 that matters daily, the Tesla 3 performance version is at 3.3 secs, the new top M3 with performance mode is at 3.8 sec (most tests got 4.0), which is a huge difference at this level. The mid level AWD version is at 4.5 secs, also much quicker than regular 3/4 series’ >5secs. Furthermore, Model 3 track mode last month in MT’s track testing handily beat BMW M2, as it keeps improving, there ‘d be no problem it beats BMW M3 even on longer tracks. Safety: Tesla 3 aced in every NHTSA categories, getting the highest score ever tested by NHTSA. BMW 3 Also got 5 stars overall, but only 4 stars in frontal collision. Tesla autopilot as a driver assistance, is the best in volume production, very much ahead of BMW. Exterior styling and finish: Depends on personal preference. I give BMW an edge. Interior, seating, user interface and technology: While styling is still up to preference, I find Tesla’s touchscreen provides more functionality and is a lot more intuitive to use, it’s really IPhone vs old Nokia kind of situation. Once you get used to use touchscreen, you never want to have to deal with turning knobs and going thru levels of clunky menus to find what you need. Tesla’s advanced OTA technology can continuously improve the car over time, no others are at that level yet. Seating wise, I find Tesla 3 front seats as more comfortable than BMW’s, while BMW has an edge in back seating. Convenience, maintenance and health: Charging at home is way more convenient than going to gas station! Charging time is irrelevant if you can charge at home, most people actually only need to charge it couple times per week even in winter. For those living in apartments without charging infrastructure, that is another story. EVs need next to nothing maintenance, so really no comparison here ( I understand some people enjoy doing maintenance work but most don’t). In addition, driving EVs is much better for health, simply by avoiding intakes of the toxic emissions (not even talking about environmental impact here), day and night difference.

Car of today. All other cars are relics of the pas
What other car gets new capabilities after you buy it. This car keeps me safer and helps protect others on the road. No gas, oil, timing belts, transmission, engine and many other maintenance and failure parts. Most things can be taken care of by over the air updates. Extra optional features can be purchased even years later that were over you budget or desire when you purchased the car. Performance, safety, looks, charges at home overnight mostly but the ability to go to supercharger all across the world to charge in 1 hour at maximum for long trips is great. Low cost of operations and maintenance are great.
