2017 Tesla Model X consumer reviews

Only minor problems with only one maintance/repair/upgrade visit just recently (2020) at a Tesla SC, 1.5 days in the shop. All other minor problems handled by an excellent mobile Tesla tech that comes to your house (a special service for those not near a SC). No drivetrain problems whatsoever. 1/3 the maintenance cost of an ICE vehicle, no gas cost. Gas net savings about $5,0000 over 5 years. This is an SUV with moderate dirt road capability and 9" ground clearance.

Most comfortable and most exciting car I have ever owned. The falcon-wing doors are amazingly practical! In tight spaces where the conventional front doors can barely open, the FW doors lift up and out, making exit much more comfortable; plus, on rainy days, they act like awnings - wonderful for attending to children in the rear seats.

Roomy, designed well and capable. Lots of bells and whistles but all very intuitive to use. Handles well, tows, seats 5-7 and ample use of rear hatch space/cargo space. Pluging in wasn't a worry or very hard to do.

I liked the price. They offered me a very good price. The car is excellent and beautiful. Transaction was so smooth and fast. Thank you.

I want to be very clear I enjoy my Tesla. From there I would never recommend anyone to buy a Tesla or ever buy another Tesla again. There is an intentional lack of customer service with Tesla. The service center here WILL NOT ANSWER. Leave a message, no response, leave 4 messages, nothing. So ok you buy a car, there are issues that stop you from being able to use the vehicle and your only means of solution is to schedule an appointment app for service. What if that’s 2 and half weeks later? Call customer service? There isn't one. Email Tesla? I did that, it’s been 2 days, no response. So then what are you buying when you buy a Tesla? A brand new peace of technology that is prone to have issues that you have 0 customer service with. Where I applaud Tesla for changing the world. I frown on them for getting something as simple as keeping happy customers so wrong. Again if you are thinking about buying a Tesla please know that they will try and charge for things you did not order or need, they will out right lie to your face about calls or emails, and you have access to an app and a calendar for customer service outside of when your vehicle is in service and that’s it. Tesla has forced all the other major car companies to change to electric, and due to the horrible customer service they give I would encourage to wait for the car company you know and love to come out with there own electric vehicle. At least that way you know if there is an issue you can pick up the phone email w.e. and solve the issue and not be sent down a rabbit whole chasing help that just isn’t there.

Hard to drive any other car after driving the Tesla Model X. It packs a punch but is great for the family. Super easy for kids and adults to get in and out of the back, and drives like a tank in snow and ice. Fantastic car.

This is the most fun, best designed car I've ever driven. Plus, I never have to go to a gas station! I just plug it in overnight, and that's it. I've always got plenty of range. I also love the overnight software updates -- the car is always current! Oh -- and the self-drive feature is amazing. The car drives itself better than I could myself.

Years ahead of the competition. Never worried about range. Autopilot is incredible. Plans trips with charging stops along the way. Stylish and good for the environment.
