2002 Toyota ECHO consumer reviews

This car is reliable and good gas saver. I would travel state to state in this car it runs like singer sewing machine. Everything new is not always good. It's still trendy and simple and and stands out from the rest. I'm always looking for a well taken care of used Toyota Echo.

I drove this car for 15 years and apart from wear and tear it never give me major issues. Pass it on to a 16 yo girl for her first car. Really loved it

This car was exactly what I was looking for. I needed something small, but large enough to carry large electronic equipment. I also needed something that was fuel efficient, which this car is. For being a little older, it runs really well and the exterior looks fantastic!!! I'm so happy with my ECHO.

This is the second Echo I've owned and they are the best running little cars. They handle well, are surprisingly comfortable (I take mine on cross country road trips) and if you take care of them they'll last forever...or nearly so.

Very dependable (286,000 miles on it so far with very minimal work), great on gas --- I get over 40mpg. Has an enormous trunk for the size car it is. Of course, with 4 cylinders, it isn't a high power car and doesn't like big hills or mountains.

My 2002 Toyota Echo has never let me down. 13 years and it's still going with over 140k miles. I've only done the usual maintenance. I'm 5'10 and initially bought it because I have plenty of headroom (I hate feeling boxed in). And I pay about half of what other people pay at the pump. I love my car. Side note: I have 3 dogs - all medium to big. I take them to the dog park in that little car... Other than coated in dog hair, the seats are still intact.

bought my echo used and have loved the power from its 5 speed manual transmission also I needed to be able tow her behind my rv. Parts for this car are really cheap.I do more coasting then in gear so I installed updated- drilled and sloted rotors and best pads so I could stop real fast without down shifting and I am happy.I get 34mpg around town and 45 mpg on the road.BEST car I have ever owned for what it is made to do.

Now, at close to 100,000 miles, I can't think there is a better value. I'm a retired over the road salesman and have had more than 35 cars, half of them new. For work they were all American. For private use, one was English,; two were Asian. All things considered, overall, this is the best.
