Works great for me!

This car is everything I ever wanted. It's easy to get in and out of. it's got lots of headroom. It has plenty of power and the automatic transmission shifts excellent. The air conditioning blows cold. Just drove it 1300 mi - ran perfect. Not a single complaint. And yes, I like the speedometer in the middle of the dash.

Super reliable & best MPG ever

Best little car on the block. Reliable, great fuel economy, Toyotas last forever, always loved this car. Really truly an awesome car. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

322K miles and still going. I love this Car

I bought it new in 2002. I have used it when my kids were teens to hall them, their friends and all the stuff that goes along with them. I load all my camping stuff in it (mostly in the trunk yes there is a system) I can get 25 2x4s from one end to the other inside. I now hall my massage table in it. Now 2019 it has a bit of rust but not bad. I love the layout. The sales person was 6’4” and sat in the back seat to show me how much room it has. It has 5 cup holders and lots of storage most cubbies hold many CDs. I originally wanted it because of the placement of the speedometer on the dash (I drove at night thought it was safer to look on the dash rather than down, the safety and because Toyota’s have a reputation of lasting for many miles. My husband is a big guy and he fits nicely inside even with his hat on. I almost forgot to tell about the two glove compartments and the drawer under the passenger seat. That’s an amazing and useful idea! I used to drive an hour one way to work and the echo is the car that got me there. Oh she has started every winter with no problem. Even when nobody else’s vehicle would start my echo did.. I’m not saying she liked it but I got where I had to go. Just for reference, I live in northern Illinois and she is kept outside.
