Wonderful car for families, senior citizens, campers just ever one. Easy to get. in and out off, lots of leg room, ample cup holders, and storage compartments everywhere. Seats fold flat for cargo and large luggage rack. No blind spots.

It's been an awesome car so far. I've only owned it 6 months now, but in that time there has been nothing wrong with her at all. I had thought there was a leaking power steering boot when I first bought it (third owner), but upon taking apart the power steering system I found it was only the reservoir. Otherwise, very reliable car, with great passing power. Gas mileage could be better, but with the way I accelerate I get about 20mpg city with the 3.3l V6. Only 155k miles so she's still a baby. This car is pretty much peak Toyota. It's decent looking on the outside, but nothing to stare at. Inside it's comfy with the cloth seats but not a luxury car. It's quick enough, but could never be a sports car with the throttle response. It also has the unfortunate trend of Toyota's engines with more than 4 cylinders being unreasonably thirsty. It's bland in almost every way, but it will live forever.

My family bought this car back in 2008, and it currently has 166k miles on it. Its a great car and very reliable, and the cost for repair aren't too much. The only issue I have with this car is fuel economy. The car doesn't do a good job with saving gas lol, but that's okay. I have the 2006 Toyota Highlander V6, and its a base model ! Over all, it isn't bad!!

Bought in 2008 with 16,000 miles drove until 120 gave it to the boys for school then college.now gave it to the oldest to keep has 168 200 miles still going.. costs were new struts ,tires .brake caliper rebuild pads rotors all belts as needed replaced timing belt at 140 ,000 miles and trans service at 152,000 I did all my own service before I gave it away. Note zero rust from north pa. Now lives in Fla. We now own a 2018 highlander and 2020 tacoma

best vehicle I have owned since 2008 over 300.000 miles two time timing belt replace and a starter replace that's all still run like new I have changed motor oil every 4k and transmission oil every 25k did myself but not timing belt

I needed a small 4 wheel drive to use as an everyday car and fishing car. I bought this used with 112,000 miles in July 2020. It rides fantastic, it's moderately quiet. Love the interior styling. Small enough to get around easily and big enough to hold 4 adults and fishing gear. It had cloth seats and I had leather seats installed, only because they are easier to keep clean. I've owned over 30 cars in my life and rank this one near the top. I was tired of buying a new $50,000 car and paying taxes on it, and expensive service.............plus new ones are too fancy and have too many computers. I expect to keep this car for at least 10 years. This was a one owner car and drives like a new car........smooth.

Loved this vehicle. I'm a simple guy, so went with base model. Only complaint there was came with steel wheels (rusted prematurely) and underperforming tires. Also might've had a lemon back hub? Looking back, 75% of issues (brakes and eventually bearing) seemed to be related to that wheel. Went 147K+ miles with it over 14 years and still can't believe how well the interior and exterior held up. Essentially zero body rust. More underneath (thanks to excessive road salt). Zero problems with engine or transmission. Never any issues with any of the interior gadgetry. Things just flat out always worked well. Did not want to part ways, but cost of expected repairs needed exceeded value and I needed AWD to get up new steep driveway. Cleaned-up awesome and I advertised great vehicle for mechanic who can replace a few things on it cheaper than the rest of us. Sold same day and he (a retired mechanic) was really impressed with the condition of the vehicle. I bought another Highlander (used 2018) if that tells you anything about how Highlanders are doing out there.

Quality is evident in every inch and every mile driven. I will never buy anything but Toyota after this. I love everything about this vehicle.

Most reliable car I’ve owned. Best family car, best daily driver, best grocery getter. Best car ever made, This is a must have car. What more can I say....
