A surprising hybrid. Smooth acceleration. Fast for a hybrid. My wife was passing a truck on a 2 lane road when I noticed we were doing 95 MPH; that was not in the power mode. Interior with leather is comfortable and roomy. Average 40-45 MPG overall. The EV mode is great - in a parking lot or neighborhood I can average 99.9 MPG at 30 MPH. I will buy again and again.

We were looking for a hybrid car and almost purchased a Lexus CT 200H before deciding that we needed more space for the family. Luckily, the Prius v came along. It's a comfortable car and we've already logged 6000 miles on it within 2 months. Here's what i love : Dynamic Cruise Control Leg Room ( i'm 6 feet tall) Overall space - I don't need my SUV now that i have this. Could do better : The voice commands are quirky . I'd have loved leather seats No Sun Roof. I get the rated gas mileage when 1 person is in the car. With a full load, the mileage drops by 4-5 MPG.

Bought it 7 months ago. Already 21000 plus miles. Had a Lexus GX470 SUV which I loved. Opened new office 70 miles from home and was getting killed on gas. Needed a vehicle to haul stuff from one office to the other. Bought loaded Prius V v and absolutely love it. Drive expressway at way over the speed limit constantly and I'm getting 41 miles per gallon. I'm 6'2 and 260 lbs and i feel very comfortable in it. SloLove all the room and savings on gas. I will hopefully run this baby until it can't do it anymore. Loads of storage. It's really just a cool looking mini station wagon but I'm very happy with it. MINUSES. Slow pickup, do not attempt a fast left on oncoming trafffic. Miss the quiet cabin and the stero of the Lexus. Still unable to connect phone to Entune system. Did it once at the beginning but still unable and no one has been able to help me at dealership. They blame my Android phone. Cheap arm rest could be better. Was not able to make it up the driveway during one of our heavy midwest snows.Wish it had a real sunroof

Excellent space utilization. The #1 reason I bought the car. I also wanted good gas mileage, it delivers that too, so far my lifetime average is 43.9mpg. The sound system (ATP version) is outstanding. I only wish the Entunes was a little less "glitchy". Also, iHeart won't let you create your stations like it does on the internet. Makes it somewhat useless for me. I can get good power when needed with the POWER button. My main gripe is the finish of the interior is baby chicken: cheap.

I traded in our six-year old Camry Hybrid for Prius V to get the new entertainment features (i love hd radio) and because i liked the higher seating. Driver seat comfort and entry/exit is my favorite part of owning this car, far better than the Camry. I like that the driver seat is NOT power, making it a superfast adjustment from my wife's position. The front seats are perfect for me, at 5-11" and 190lb.and very, very comfortable (never any driving fatigue). I am still getting used to driving this car and almost feel like it is adapting to me. My wife and I both drive it and have averaged 47 mpg, but that requires slow take-offs. Last night we did a 50mile flat roundtrip with four in the car and logged 54 mpg. We like the quiet, smooth running but camry had better visibility and a more compliant suspension. My hope is that steering doesn't get loose over bumps like it did with the camry after 4-5 years. Otherwise reliability has been excellent.

What can I say? We walked in to buy a Rav4 and left with this awesome car. My wife picked out her brand new red Prius V last week and we traded my car for it. I now have a nice 2010 Suzuki Kizashi AWD (Also a great car) We LOVE our new Prius V! It's smooth, reliable, incredibly spacious, comfortable, has great standard features, and really doesn't feel as slow as I thought it would. We have 300 miles on it and are getting 42.3 mpg already. Would not be surprised if we hit 45-46mpg once the weather warms up and the car is broken in. Only things we have to get are body side moldings, rear bumper protector, and a hitch for the bike rack. LOVE this car. Perfect vehicle for our growing family. The interior is pure genius with all of its passenger and cargo space and the outside is well....it's a Prius Wagon so it's not super-exciting, but the color is beautiful. As a car nut and performance enthusiast, I was not excited about this vehicle at first, but after driving it, and experiencing it, my mind has changed completely. I owned a stick prior to this, but with all the monitoring hyper-miling that I can do, I don't think I will be bored when I am driving it on long family trips.

First time Prius owner, vehicle is 4 months old, just over 7,000 km. We own a 2007 Yaris that has been a joy with no upkeep cost beyond scheduled service. Yaris goodness was a big factor in purchase. Agree with other reviews on this site. Not much point saying what others have already stated. Mileage is as advertised, driving is as expected (not bad, not exciting, predictable). It is a very capable vehicle for commute and a recent week long trip that included repeatedly climbing 1,500 ft with 4 adults and luggage. I was able to add a trailer hitch in my garage (torque properly) for the bike rack. My ideal V would have had the 3rd row of seats as sold elsewhere. To have that 3rd row for the 1/2 dozen times a year required would have been fantastic. The best answer I've found for this version not being available is $$$ added cost for the lithium ion battery, OK. But the soon to be seen Ford C-Max has this battery and has similar pricing. C-Max will also have compass and middle row under seat storage, nice. I believe a lot is going to happen in this class of vehicle the next couple of years. I trust Toyota will have the good sense to stay ahead of the curve with regards to innovation and value. Serious Prius competition is coming.

My wife wanted a wagon that was a hybrid. We were expecting our first child and wanted something efficient with added comfort because she commutes far for work. Let me tell you. We love this car. My wife's last car was a Mini Cooper S, I have driven many cars in the past, have done all the racing stuff so we both know what it feels like to drive a fast, great handling vehicles. The Prius v doesn't compare in sports handling, but we have been impressed and surprise that it doesn't drive like a boat. Ride is comfortable, but solid. I love this car alot. Best buy in 2011. You will love the extra cargo. We got a great deal on this car. $28,400 out the door.
