■● August 2024 I purchased my T-100 SR5 extended cab 'brand new' from my local Toyota dealer, for $23,500, all-in. ▪︎ At the time, 25% of the purchase price reflected an import tax of about $6000 ▪︎ I've used the truck hard with major overloads and 5000+ pound tows. Now at 360,000 miles, and no problems. Normal maintenance only, and always deferred maintenance. ■●

Had 1st one 28 years now bought another
My wonderful 1995 T-100 SR5 was just in an accident (head-on collision) when a lady turned in front of my daughter and then froze. Daughter had nowhere to go…skidded about 20’ but insurance company still totaled it. Normally I would repair it anyway. Just too old now to mess with that. BEST VEHICLE I have ever owned! Zero trouble, no drips of any kind, ever, towed a 30’ travel trailer all over the USA, and it never had a problem. From the get-go I installed an external transmission cooler and mounted it underneath on the skid plate. Worked very well! See pictures of two hoses looped to the cooler on bottom of radiator. Found a 1997 SR5 close by and bought it. Similar low mileage and pristine condition. Same deal…..absolutely ZERO problems with it as well. The 5Z 3400 (6) cylinder engine is considered the best engine Toyota ever made and it seems 100% true when you read or talk to T-100 owners.

Likely to be the last vehicle that I'll buy
I purchased this T 100 SR5 extended cab 'brand new' from my local Toyota dealer in July 1997. It has been my daily driver in my small town now for 22 years. It is serviced by the selling dealer every 5000 miles and I've only used synthetic oil per dealer recommendation. The vehicle has never had a breakdown or mechanical/technical issue since I purchased it. It has not experienced any accidents or damage since new. I had it into the dealer last week for the 5000 miles oil change and 24 point inspection the dealer routinely does at this time on all major systems. No discrepancies were found with any system and the original brake linings were noted to be at 50%. This truck now has 105000 miles on the odometer (at the 22+ year point). I see no signs of corrosion, hear no squeaks or rattles and the painted surfaces have held up well (garaged when not driven). This is the 3rd Toyota I've owned and don't expect that I'll have to replace it before I give up driving (in another 10-15 years). By all the evidence, when I chose this Toyota T 100, I chose wisely.

MOST RELIABLE VEHICLE I’VE EVER OWNED
I drove it for 20 1/2 years. We never put more than $4,000 in it including oil changes. My granddaughter has been driving it for 2 years. The integrity of the body is AMAZING. 13 years in Utah. No rust. They don’t make them like this very often. I now have a 2014 Lexus RX 350. I heard that Toyota built it too!

Over All, The Best Money I Ever Spent.. '98 T100
Parts started wearing out after about the 200K marker. If it hadn't been for the insurance company and eight deer and a cow (different events, all) , I'd still be driving it. Never a problem with motor or trans. manual 4wheel shifter got cranky when not used regular. Other than the usual wear-n-tear Great little 6 banger.

Daddy's truck
I absolutely love my 97 T100. I've hauled hay, horses, a camper (7000lb, 24ft), and just about anything in between and it's not stopped once. The truck was passed down to me when my dad passed away in 07 after he'd been driving it for ten years and put about 95k on it. So, as I grew up steering it up the driveway on his lap, I was naturally chomping at the bit to get behind the wheel myself as soon as I got my driving permit. Since then, I've totaled it twice, bent the frame, and it sustained some hail damage, but every time I fixed it and got it back, it ran just as great as it had before the first wreck. Other than that, I've only replaced the starter, right cv axel boot, and idler arm (the last two I believe must've been damaged in the wrecks anyways) and regular maintenance. I plan on keeping him around as long as I can, though. Maybe one day he'll go to my kids. (Unless by some chance Toyota gets smart and starts making them again!!!) Go T100!

1997 toyota T-100 3.4 V6 auto. 4WD excellent and very dependable. They out did them selves with this truck. Just keeps going. Very good on gas with the V6. No need for the V8 unless you pulling a trailor.

Took a Long Time To Locate The Right Truck
I have been looking for an all around truck; heavy load work, daily driving, and family hauling. I have previously owned a 1990 extended cab toyota truck, a 2001 Tacoma crew cab and sold both. I finally realized that I needed a truck again. However, I needed/wanted a hybrid of these two trucks that I previously owned. I started reading about the T100 and most reviews claimed it to be a good middle sized truck. I finally found a 1997 T100 extended cab, 124k, auto, bench seat and I am very happy I did. I am not sure why these truck are not made anymore...they are the perfect size. I haul wood, atv, hay, and anything I can thinkof. It can haul it and with style. I have gotton up to 22mpg in 75/25% highway/city driving. I would buy this truck again and recommend it.

Burley but modest
I love my T100. We bought it used as it was the only pickup with 4 wheel drive and an extended cab with a v6 engine, for under $10k. This thing is a workhorse, can carry and tow a surprising amount of weight and rides smooth. I used this thing to lug teepee poles up jeep trails with a full load in the bed - no problems. Incredible 4wd capacity for a truck it's size. This truck hits the sweet spot, I sold it at 200k miles and wish I could get a brand new one.
