TDI Cup Edition

Special edition vehicle that is unique and stands out from the rest of the Jetta model line up. Being a rare model is a plus; people come up to complement the car or to just check it out.

Not The Worst Car Ever

I bought my 2010 Jetta SE in 2014 with 48,000 miles on it. It has the cold weather package (heated leather seats) and the base 2.5 liter engine. The car is rated for 31mpg highway, but I am able to get 32mpg regularly. In mixed driving, the average is closer to 27mpg. The seats are comfortable enough for long road trips, but the interior feels cramped. I have long legs and my right knee is always cramped against the dash so I can leave enough room for a car seat in the back. The trunk opening is tiny so check that out if you use your trunk a lot. The rest of the interior layout is fine and every button and knob still works. It's German so even routine maintenance is pretty expensive. It requires 0W-40 engine oil so you have to do full synthetic oil changes which can get expensive depending on where you go. There is a skid plate that has to be removed to replace the oil filter and some shops charge extra to take it on/off. Overall, it's a decent car for the price. I can't speak for long-term reliability since I have only put 25,000 miles on it since I bought it. If I could do it again, I would buy a slightly older Camry for the same price and gladly take lower maintenance costs and proven reliability. But if you are looking for something different this isn't the worst car you could buy.

I just bought this car and it's been great, as have all my previous Jetta's. This makes the 5th one. I started off with a 1987 Jetta, the the rest was history. This vehicle has always been cheap on maintenance, Your regular oil change, tune ups, brakes, and etc. Jetta's seem to all hug the road very well. If you drive a manual, you'd enjoy the quick pick up it provides along with the reasonable MPG both in the city and on the freeway. I would highly recommend this to anybody who like to safe money and enjoys a long lasting vehicle.

VW gives you the German car feeling. This care likes to cruise down the highways. It is quick in the corners and if you want to get a little extra power it you drop the Tiptronic into S mode. As with all German cars, you keep up the maintenance and keep an eye on them they perform very well. Nothing flashy about the car but it is tight and when you shut the car door it sounds solid. These are solid cars.

Purchased my 2010 Wolfsburg Edition new 3/10. I ordered the Motorsport Kit, which really dressed up my car. After several engine & suspension enhancements, my Silver Wolf now has 300+ HP and 320 pound/feet of torque! I have NEVER had a single issue with my car for the past six years. Granted, I only have 26,450 miles on the odometer, but I can say with complete honesty that this is the best performance sedan I have ever owned. I only get annual maintenance at the VWQ dealer using their synthetic oil. It is now time for a new set of 18" tires - probably Continental or Michelin. This car is absolutely outstanding in every way. I will most likely ask to be buried in it! DAS AUTO!
