2019 Volkswagen Tiguan consumer reviews

This vehicle was a replacement for the one we purchased in January 2019. It was involved in a hit & run accident in which $11,000 of damages was done & it was repaired at Jim Ellis collision repair center. It was repaired to perfection. My wife was hit from the rear & the driver left the scene before the police arrived. This was the first accident in which the Tiguan, did what it was supposed to do. It saved my wife's life. On 5-24-19, a driver in a 2004 Chevy Tahoe, t-boned my wife from the passenger side & all air bags deployed, with the vehicle emergency accident system went into effect & protected her once again. But this time the vehicle was considered to be a total Loss. After the great safety experience & the vehicles all around performance we decided to purchase another Tiguan. The first one was blk on blk, so we got a red on grey. The model was the exact same but different colors. Since 2007 , our family has purchased 7 vehicles from Jim Ellis Dealerships and recommends many associates/friends. Which since 2014 we have purchased 4 VW, from Alex Sosnovsky. My daughter purchased 2 vehicles & me/ wife 2. The Jim Ellis, staff is great at every level of each department. We have had to use the service, collision, parts, sales. You expect the best. That is the Jim Ellis way of doing business. I would also like to give praise to Stacey Ellis Hodges, when I met her in 2007, she made me/family feel special. At that time in our lives I suffered a severe injury that put my life in question. The doctors said I wouldn't not survive but God's grace/mercy is still with us he saved me &, my wife. So that let's me know that the VW Tiguan is the way to go.

I like the comfort and performance but I do have navigation problem. It is five months since I own this VW Tiguan 2019. Initially the navigation was working good. However, it is more than two months with navigating system problem. The navigation does not show correct directions or location and correct miles. I took to dealer service and for the first time they tried to fix it. But the fix lasted for a week only. Again I took back and they changed the antenna. After only one week I am facing the same problem.

This car fits my need: 4-wheel drive, fuel economy and SUV. 4-door and plenty of room in the trunk. I recommend to friends and family

This car exceeds all of my expectations. I highly recommend buying a Volkswagen Tiguan! This is my 3rd one and I haven’t had any bad experiences with it.

We've only owned it for 24 hours so far but we putt 300 miles on it today driving up to Sedona. Plenty of passing power and sure footed for an SUV.

Comfortable, with more interior room than you would expect. We have been very impressed with fit and finish. The folks talk about it being sluggish must have different expectations. We traded our Grand Cherokee V6 and this car is more responsive and drives better by far. The power delivery from this car is designed to provide smooth driving not sports car like response. Very please with the 2019 VW Tiguan.

The only thing I would improve in the Tiguan is more horsepower. That said I believe it compares favorably to the BMW X3. Fun to drive and much less money.

I purchased the 2019 Tiguan SE (brand new) exactly 2 weeks ago. The vehicles engine has shut off on me 3 times while coming to a stop. The third time, I was left stranded and the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. My vehicle is currently at the dealership being serviced and supposedly needs the relay replaced. I was also having a few issues with the infotainment system (which needs some serious tech upgrading). The screen has gone completely black while using the gps system. It didn’t come back on until I turned off the car and restarted it.

The Tiguan is beautifully designed car that has so much above what the other's offer. First, the best bumper to bumper transferable warranty, 6 years/ 72,000. Hands down no one comes close. The ride is superb, soft and very smooth. The reliability is also higher than Honda. Smart touches like an ajustable rear seat for extra leg room. The infotainment is great and easy to use too. This vehicle is so nice. Test drive one to see how good it really is because if you do you just might buy it. Very well done Volkswagen !

I have owned 94 cars and would put the Tiguan in 5, awesome ride and gas mileage over 30. Smooth quiet and looks great, wise choice!
