4th Volvo= Quality, Reliability, Safety & Comfort
I've been purchasing & driving Volvos since '95. Our 1st, a 850GLT sedan, & then the S70 for my wife & S80 for myself. We traded her S70 for the '11 XC60. It's been a great change for her. She's petite and loves sitting up higher than the S70 and enjoys the added confidence of AWD. Fuel economy is within a acceptable range for this solid crossover. She has been trading every 7-8yrs or hitting 120Kmi. We just traded for a new '19 XC60 and love it thus far. She works from home now so she's driving much less, so I expect we'll have the new '19 XC60 longer than in the past. As for the '11, it's a very comfortable car and it's great in all types of weather. Smooth quiet ride, regular maintenance makes for longevity and reliability assurance. Our largest expense was new tires at 60Kmi along with new brake pads on all 4 corners. Have driven to St Pete Beach from NY Adirondacks every Oct. & Apr. for 2wks and found road trips to be comfortable and great 360° views in traffic and parking lots. Would buy another of same generation or the next generation XC60 that arrived for the 2018 model year. Can't beat the quality of safety history that remains stellar. Have recommended both generations to friends and coworkers.
Great car for the money.
This vehicle was exactly what I was looking for. The dealer was awesome and made this transaction very easy to deal with. I would buy again from them.
one of the best, safety, reliable 4 wheel drive
I have 3 Volvo's in my drive way, comparing with any other brand, Volvo is the best, I've been using Volvo since 9 or 10 years now
More of the most least reliable cars I've ever own
This car is very disappointing. This is my sixth Volvo and I'm very disappointed with this vehicle. I brought this car used with 75K miles and purchased an extended warranty. In the past three years I only put 28K on it and it was service on regular basis. But within the last month it appeared that everything went wrong at once. My repairs cost me over $3800 and my extended warranty did not cover all the repairs per the contract. This has been an eye opening event for me. I will never buy another Volvo or extended warranty. My experience has been a night mare to say the least.
Great ride and amazing power
This is a great vehicle and gets great mileage. It is a turbo inline 6 with a new engine. It is very clean and well maintained.
My favorite SUV I've ever owned to date
Although can be a little thirsty on gas (takes premium), the performance, comfort, reliability, safety and design is second to none when considering all the above factors. Boost kicks in early and gives you a surprisingly strong pull for a near 4000 lb SUV, and will do so without leaving your back or bum sore! I've received many compliments on the design and it has never given me a concern in terms of reliability. Great family car or just for someone who wants more cargo capacity with some additional, noticeable performance.
Safest cars out there
I love these vehicles I think they are the safest cars out there. Are used to own a Volvo XC 90 and hit a moose I walked away without a scratch.
Can?t say enough good things
After 90k miles car still drives, handles and looks new. Excellent mileage, good all weather handling and plenty of room. Car has handled every challenge thrown at it!
Best kept secret
My wife was looking for a sporty, luxury suv with AWD. Im a car guy so i did the test driving and reported back to her. I drove grand cherokees, bmws, ml350s, etc. Volvo was last on my list, i never gave the xc60 much thought. I thought it was the swedish honda crv, with an assumingly uninspiring ride....until i drove the xc60 t6. My first thought was, ok, the leather is nicer than my dads jaguar. But how does it drive? Like a sports car. I was blown away, its gentle around town, but hitting the on-ramp with some pressure on the pedal and this suv flies. I had mustangs in high school, and those would not keep up with this machine! Owned it for 4 years, not a penny spent on anything but routine maintenance. My wife loves how quiet it is, the oversized sunroof, and comfortable seats. An absolute hidden gem. I drive a v8 tahoe, and am slightly jealous at how fun her xc60 is to drive. The AWD does great in midwestern snowstorms as well. Volvo shocked me with this one.
Most luxurioust car I driven
Love it, I researched this vehicle until a really good deal came along. I must adjust to driving a car with 6 cylinder engine.
