The 12th in a series of limited edition versions of the Chrysler PT Cruiser is going on sale this summer–the 2007 PT Street Cruiser Pacific Coast Highway Edition.

The car was unveiled at the annual Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. Last year, Chrysler used the cruise to unveiled a “Route 66” PT Cruiser in tribute to one of the legendary roads in the U.S.

This year’s PT pays tribute to the Pacific Coast Highway, one of the most scenic roads in the U.S. In keeping with the name, this PT will be offered only in Ocean Blue.

The Pacific Coast Highway Edition is the 12th specialty PT model introduced since the car first went on sale in February 2000. Since then, more than 1 million PTs–mass produced and niche vehicles–have been sold.

The 2007 Coast Highway PT will be powered by a 2.4-liter, 150-horsepower 4-cylinder coupled with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

With manual the car will start at $20,735 including $640 freight; with automatic, it will start at $21,570 including freight.

Features include 17-inch, all-season, performance radials mounted on 15-spoke wheels; sports suspension; anti-lock brakes with traction control; chrome grille, door handles, exhaust tip and bodyside moldings; ocean blue liftgate spoiler; AM/FM radio with single-disc CD player and MP3 capability; power windows; analog clock; air conditioning; and power mirrors.
