The 2011 Acura RL is easily one of the nicest sporty luxury cars made that year. The SH-AWD is amazing, the 3.7L engine loves to run, the interior is beautiful, the Bose sound wonderful. Hard to believe these did not sell better - AND if you can find one second-hand, jump on it. You'll be glad you did.

I love my BLACK 03 RL and will probably not buy another car the rest of my life. I have always wanted an ACURA but could not afford one until I bought mine preowned. My RL drives like a dream, looks great and gets many, many comments. Many people think it's a Mercedes, BMW, or a Lexus based on the exterior styling. My RL is a beauty and I am totally pleased with this car. This car makes you want to keep it clean every chance you get and then some. I added the wheels and tinted the windows and that is it. The power could be a little better, but then I don't need heart thumping power any more.

I'd like to update my previous review describing my disappointment with the way Autotown responded to my daughter bringing in her recently purchased car with a service light on. I truly appreciate Ben Dyer, the owner, responding to my initial review and stating that they will again look at my daughter's car and evaluate it for repair. I did some further talking with my daughter and I think where I/we misunderstood the dealer's willingness to address again is that she won't be back to the area again for 3 weeks and she thought that made her ineligible to have the dealer consider the issue further. I also consulted with a dealer/service manager and they agreed that the code(s) could have been cleared before Autotown took the car as a trade. I'm hopefully optimistic that when my daughter and the car are back in Champaign in 3 weeks, we can get some answers/resolutions on the issue (note we're told the code/issue shouldn't be impacted by waiting the 3 weeks since she uses a car very little while at school). So for those who read ratings, I'll update and re-review after we take it in for service consult in 3 weeks with Autotown and their garage.

The RL after 135,000 miles is still a great car and still looks contemporary. Ungaraged, its finish has held up amazingly well. With SHAWD it's a winter car that goes anywhere under any conditions. Ihas most all of the trick features of today's cars and with the key fob in my wallet just touching the handles opens and locks it. An added bonus I've never forgotten my wallet and left home without my driver's license or credit cards. The sound system is good, the nav works flawlessly, pairing the phone easy the bluetooth perfect. It has a ton of standard equipment like rear window shades that have come in handy. I've never kept a car this long but to get the same level of reliability under these harsh conditions is up for grabs and a car with all these features is 75K up. It's only issue is the 5 speed transmission that has offered no problems other than not seamless. The interior does show a few signs of wear. The driver's door armrest looked to be leather but is actually rubber that's worn through to a checked cloth backing and the dash under the glove box has bubbled. A job for Dr. Pimple Popper? It's got enough power for everyday driving, gets a solid 25 on the highway but around this hilly town with no stop and go traffic, between 18-19. Truth is, at 82,I hope to drop dead before the car.

John was very accommodating throughout the whole process. Had no problem with me taking the car to be checked out by a mechanic, and just wanted me to be 100% satisfied with my purchase. Gave me more for my trade-in than other dealers were offering, and worked with me on the final price. Would definitely buy from him again!

This car met every need of mine except for the obvious bad gas mileage at about 19 mpg on average. I added third party auto start and Bluetooth for music and calling and it literally is amazing

I purchase my 2004 Acura RL in 2008 with 52000 miles for $17,500. Per the car fax history, it was leased for 3 years and repossessed from the 2nd owner after several months. I had routine maintenance including a timing belt replacement and never had a problem with anything. Unfortunately, we had a destructive hail storm in April of 2024 and the insurance company "totaled" it. We didn't want a salvaged title and sold it to someone who knew the true value of the vehicle. In short, imy '04 RL gave me 16 years of excellent performance!

Just hit 150,000 miles on this vehicle and it has been just regular maintenance. Needed a little aligning once in awhile which caused some excessive wheel wear on the inner toes of the tires, but other than that it has been a fantastic. Even for being 10 years old the technology is still solid, GPS the best I have ever used.

Very enjoyable driving this car. Never get bored of it. Very fast and reliable after at about 150000 miles. Almost no oil consumption. Still no alarm on dashboard.My first one was totaled and bought the same car used with different color. I am in love with my Acura RL .

I've had three RL's & four Legends...each one gets a little better. Best value for the money and best in class.

This car has been amazing in every way, has been low cost to upkeep and never had any mechanical issues whatsoever the Acura name rings true with my experience it’s a luxury car and it’s the best bang for your buck. Very spacious very fast when you need it to be an overall great car that I would purchase all over again.

My first ever Acura. I love all the characteristics this vehicle offer especially on curvy roads playing with the paddle shifter. One have to drive it to experience the rush with the potent V6 putting out 300 HP. One can only imagine what the 2019 RL has to offer. Buy one!!

I had no idea how stressful moving could be until I attempted it on my own. Thankfully, these movers saved the day. Bought this car in 2014. Always kept up with maintenance. Only major thing I had to do was replace the alternator in 2017 (11 years old by then). Currently at 280k miles. Frequently driven on an avg of 5 hour road trips. If I came across another one, I would not hesitate to buy it. I had the 2008 TL type S also, but I love the RL More. This is a keeper! An i will drive it til the wheels fall off.

My Dad has bought 4 cars from Toms before he over he passed away. I myself have bought at least 2 as far as I am concerned Toms auto is the only place to go for a Used car! So, as you can see, we have never been disappointed. This car I bought 3 days ago is the best yet! I had a saleperson that was great! I bought an 05 RL used in 09 with 65K miles. I traded it in in 2016 with 271K miles on it. Other than normal wear and maintenance, I never had any issues. The only issue I had was the keyless door on both front doors went out. A $500 (each door) replacement as it shorted out a lot of other systems. That aside, no issues. Awesome gas mileage on the highway for an AWD car and brake wear was outstanding. It was starting to rust a bit by the windshield and just time to move on. Pretty sure it's still on the road according to my Acura dealer (went to a 2016 MDX).

I bought used and I love it , it's got everything I was looking for with low miles. More comfortable and peppy than Lexus , just wish exterior looks more sporty but this was not the primary goal of this sedan

I nicknamed my RL "Flirtin with Disaster" after the Molly Hatchet song because of how powerfully fast it is! The thing is EFFORTLESS. I've owned Benz SEL's (300, 420 and 500) and owned two Lexus LS400's and one Infiniti Q45 and loved them all, but, this RL35 Premium is U N I Q U E. motor is NOT transverse mounted, but still is FWD! FWD is a plus on a wet, snowy or slushy road. Now t he RWD luxury cars I've had get through bad tracks because of their sheer weight and torque, but the RL35 Premium is feather-like, and its only drawback is lower fuel economy because Acura/Honda concentrated on pure performance.
