I am a die hard Acura RL fan. I have had 6 RL's, (96, 99, 2000, 01, 04 and an 06) all purchased used and I drove each of them 2-5 years. 2 of them I got more when I sold them than what I paid for them. I can not say enough good about them, The ONLY iss ues I had were brakes which I considered normal maintenance. You can not go wrong with this car.

Very enjoyable driving this car. Never get bored of it. Very fast and reliable after at about 150000 miles. Almost no oil consumption. Still no alarm on dashboard.My first one was totaled and bought the same car used with different color. I am in love with my Acura RL .

The car is loaded with options that I don't how work yet like everything voice activated. The only drawback is the gas mileage is in the middle to upper twenties but the research I did showed that the utterly reliable.

I nicknamed my RL "Flirtin with Disaster" after the Molly Hatchet song because of how powerfully fast it is! The thing is EFFORTLESS. I've owned Benz SEL's (300, 420 and 500) and owned two Lexus LS400's and one Infiniti Q45 and loved them all, but, this RL35 Premium is U N I Q U E. motor is NOT transverse mounted, but still is FWD! FWD is a plus on a wet, snowy or slushy road. Now t he RWD luxury cars I've had get through bad tracks because of their sheer weight and torque, but the RL35 Premium is feather-like, and its only drawback is lower fuel economy because Acura/Honda concentrated on pure performance.

The RL after 135,000 miles is still a great car and still looks contemporary. Ungaraged, its finish has held up amazingly well. With SHAWD it's a winter car that goes anywhere under any conditions. Ihas most all of the trick features of today's cars and with the key fob in my wallet just touching the handles opens and locks it. An added bonus I've never forgotten my wallet and left home without my driver's license or credit cards. The sound system is good, the nav works flawlessly, pairing the phone easy the bluetooth perfect. It has a ton of standard equipment like rear window shades that have come in handy. I've never kept a car this long but to get the same level of reliability under these harsh conditions is up for grabs and a car with all these features is 75K up. It's only issue is the 5 speed transmission that has offered no problems other than not seamless. The interior does show a few signs of wear. The driver's door armrest looked to be leather but is actually rubber that's worn through to a checked cloth backing and the dash under the glove box has bubbled. A job for Dr. Pimple Popper? It's got enough power for everyday driving, gets a solid 25 on the highway but around this hilly town with no stop and go traffic, between 18-19. Truth is, at 82,I hope to drop dead before the car.

I purchase my 2004 Acura RL in 2008 with 52000 miles for $17,500. Per the car fax history, it was leased for 3 years and repossessed from the 2nd owner after several months. I had routine maintenance including a timing belt replacement and never had a problem with anything. Unfortunately, we had a destructive hail storm in April of 2024 and the insurance company "totaled" it. We didn't want a salvaged title and sold it to someone who knew the true value of the vehicle. In short, imy '04 RL gave me 16 years of excellent performance!

The truck that I came to look at had already been sold. That’s about it. Too bad. But good news I I found another Chevrolet Avalanche which is nicer and is the color that I prefer.

Bought this car in 2014. Always kept up with maintenance. Only major thing I had to do was replace the alternator in 2017 (11 years old by then). Currently at 280k miles. Frequently driven on an avg of 5 hour road trips. If I came across another one, I would not hesitate to buy it. I had the 2008 TL type S also, but I love the RL More. This is a keeper! An i will drive it til the wheels fall off.

My first ever Acura. I love all the characteristics this vehicle offer especially on curvy roads playing with the paddle shifter. One have to drive it to experience the rush with the potent V6 putting out 300 HP. One can only imagine what the 2019 RL has to offer. Buy one!!

I bought an 05 RL used in 09 with 65K miles. I traded it in in 2016 with 271K miles on it. Other than normal wear and maintenance, I never had any issues. The only issue I had was the keyless door on both front doors went out. A $500 (each door) replacement as it shorted out a lot of other systems. That aside, no issues. Awesome gas mileage on the highway for an AWD car and brake wear was outstanding. It was starting to rust a bit by the windshield and just time to move on. Pretty sure it's still on the road according to my Acura dealer (went to a 2016 MDX).

The last dealership I went to was terrible, employees didn't know what they were doing, terrible prices, scummy tactics. Hill's was the complete opposite. Jesse was great, he got me into the right car and didn't try to sell me a car I didn't want. Prices were fair, car has a warranty included in the listed price, and first oil change is free. If I'm still in the area when I need a new car, Hills is the place I'll go!

The 2011 Acura RL is easily one of the nicest sporty luxury cars made that year. The SH-AWD is amazing, the 3.7L engine loves to run, the interior is beautiful, the Bose sound wonderful. Hard to believe these did not sell better - AND if you can find one second-hand, jump on it. You'll be glad you did.
