2020 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider review
When I first saw the 4C with its stunning beautiful looks and then the Spider which reminded me of an old Dino Ferrari I thought wow! Then I read it only had a turbo charged 4 cylinder and no manual transmission so I wasn’t too keen. Fast forward a few months later and I found myself at the local Alfa dealer and had a test drive. OMG! The handling of the car and the “connection “ I seemed to have with the car was nothing I had experienced before and this is from a previous air cooled Porsche 911 die hard!! I had to have one. Fortunately the Minister of Finance in our household did some maths and a few months later I was driving home a beautiful giallo ( yellow to you non Italian speaking car buffs) spider. Every time i drive this thing she always brings a smile to my face. Upon parking and exiting the car I never fail to turn around and look back. Is it perfect - absolutely not, the interior is cheaply put together, it lacks any and all creature comforts, it’s noisy as xxxx, but who cares? People risk neck injuries as they turn to see what it is as I drive past, kids love it and it announces itself a kilometre before it arrives anywhere due to that loud booming exhaust. Getting in and out requires grace and athleticism which left me in my teens if I had any at all but once snugly fit in those racing seats the whole cockpit surrounds you like a jet fighter ready to take off and boy does it ! It’s amazing how fast this car is helped predominantly by its super low weight and tarmac hugging low height. It’s such a visceral experience that every petroleum head needs in their lives.

2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider review
Love it! The cars super sexy, and is the best luxury sports car I’ve ever had. The engine sits in the back of the car and provides enough weight to avoid losing control or spinning out. The car can be driven in 3 modes: A for all weather . N for natural . D -d

Great car to cruise around in. Great design, Pininfarina never disappoints. Gets more looks and thumbs up than Ferraris. Outdated driving dynamics, but it is a classic!

1991 Alfa Romeo Spider review
The old Afla Romoe's were fun to drive little Italian jobs! Rides like a Go-Cart but 100 MPH around a turn. So much fun to drive. Yes, it's an old Italian car so it leaks a little and maintenance is a hobby, but then they were always like that. When I bought it I chose the '91 because that's when they added Zinc to the underbody so floor board rust is not an issue. It's lived in my garage since 2006 and it's time for it to have a new romance with a new driver!
