Sam Nejad and Schomp BMW are exceptional

My car was totaled by a reckless driver a week ago (I was rear ended at high speed while I was sitting in traffic), so I was having to find a new car on a short and unexpected notice. I obviously wasn???t a very happy car shopper, given the reason behind my urgent need in a new car. After test driving several cars and visiting several ???luxury??? car dealerships, I was about to go home, but decided to visit one last dealership (Schomp BMW). I had BMWs in the past from Schomp, so I knew the quality of their cars and the outstanding quality of service they are well known for. However, I was blown away when I walked in their doors today. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. I told her I was there to test drive the X3 and she immediately went in search of an available client advisor for me. She reappeared with a true gem and class act named Sam Nejad. I told Sam my story about my car being totaled by a reckless driver and that I was interested in the X3. He went right to work for me and I never looked back. He was extremely knowledgeable about BMWs, especially the X3. Before we went on our test drive, we walked around the entire vehicle and Sam pointed out all of the features and he did the same once we got inside the car. Once we got on the road, he showed me all of the features in real time as we were driving. At my previous ???luxury??? dealerships, the client advisors/sales people told me more about their personal lives than about the car. At one dealership, I knew more about the car???s features than the salesperson did and at another, I ended up knowing more about the salesperson???s entire life story than I learned about the car. Sam was honest, trustworthy and 100% BS-free. Not once did I have reservations about him. He has the rare and unique talent of balancing extreme professionalism with being funny and very personable. His passion about BMWs is infectious. I especially valued his ability to be very efficient, but yet not feeling rushed at all. He went above and beyond. I have no idea where Schomp BMW found Sam, but I hope they hang on to him because he is the real deal. I have to say everyone I interacted with today at Schomp BMW was exceptional: so friendly, helpful and professional without being overbearing at all. Schomp BMW and Sam Nejad are refreshing in the world of car dealerships. They know the perfect recipe for doing it right. Thank you!

A Car for the Car connoisseur. Bentley based.
by Antonio D from Orlando, Florida

As a second owner, bought one as a low-mile estate car coming up on timing belt, tires, and air suspension rebuild. that said, I absolutely LOVE this car. Its not an economical car decision - its one of passion for absurd luxury and road worthiness, in all weather conditions and types of road (except pothole filled roads). Car has an appetite for new parts, but I feed it willingly. Built on the Bentley Flying Spur Chasis, you will even find the Rockwell Space Design logo on the frame from it's high-engineering inception. ALL aluminum. quatro awd that scoffs at super-cell rain and it tames twisty mountain roads like no car Ive ever driven. extremely well footed. This car is sport luxury at its finest. Prior owner spent $120K for the first 60k miles, with a big smile on his face. I do nearly all maintenance/repairs myself now and have gotten over the fear. part prices are higher, but it's worth it. it will ruin you and not only make you critical of a mercedes or any other luxury sedan, it will make their owner even more critical of their other sedan. Im so happy to have bought one of these. Its the finest car purchase decision Ive made. I will put 100K+miles on this and source another one. 2006 was the last timing belt model, dont trust the factory tensioner to go 120K - the belts last longer than the tensioner systems now - including the timing chain systems. List of items repaired: suspension arms - eats uppers every 30K, lowers 70K. air struts, compressor, rear ebrake computer, battery. eats factory rotors but its worth it for the performance, wiring harnesses in headlights have biodegradeble coating that flakes off - but the adaptive system steers light the direction you are turning, its really really good on late night mountain roads or crawling through a neighborhood needing illumination turning into driveways. Soft-close doors are way cool, but you cant get a jealous person to stop from slamming them - a butler is needed to close their door, and it seems fitting to have one for this car. chilly air conditioned seats, heated seats that roast you if needed. heated rear but no AC for passenger rear seats (W12 might), there is no nicer back seat - its a car for newly weds to drive away in, and shows well in wedding day photos. minor gripes - why didnt audi make an audio jack for this car? a bluetooth-FM transmitter is the under-$100 way to stream, but its a pain when travelling long trips due to interference. The MMI bluetooth interface is only for phone - which works well. I hardly ever use the NAV. at 100K/12 years the headliner foam is going out, common. The intake manifold torque plane vacuum pots have an ABS plastic linkage that breaks at 70K, oil changes work best with a vaccum pump from the top. AC pump is on at all times the climate control is on - and you need to top off freon each year - this also lowers fuel economy running that pump. Stereo system is one of the best ive heard - it has fiber optic lines running back and forth from the dash to trunk - they really went overboard on the stereo system -- but left off a 1/8" jack. Only recommended to a friend that can work on their own car or has $20K in reserve for repairs, which a semi-honest shop could consume pretty quickly. The A8L is a car of excess and passion, not economy and penny pinching.

Reliable, Flashy, and Comfortable Vehicle

Excellent vehicle.....I bought it used at 97k miles. This was my everyday car, which I would really recommend to only use a fancy car like this for special occasions or on weekends. I end up driving it from Georgia to California, stayed in California for a year, driving around and had no issues. I then drove the car back to Georgia where I end up selling it a few months later to a buyer who was very happy with the vehicles performance and all of the extra bells and whistles that the car has to offer.

Straight Forward, Reputable, Trustworthy, No Gimmicks

I haven't purchased a new car since 2004, and I was really loathing the process. Researching the car is the easiest part, finding a reputable dealer was, unfortunately, the most difficult part. A summary of our experience with 3 dealerships: (1) Low-Balled on the phone to get us into the dealership followed by "he's a new sales person who made a mistake, the car is much higher than quoted". We walked out. (2) Deal pushing for me to agree to a deal as "the man of the house" and sales would "explain what we agreed to my wife". Politely left and never returned calls. (3) We don't have the car you're looking for in stock, but have a slightly higher priced one. As I looked at the locator online and showed the salesman. Now he had the car, and was quoting $4,000 over MSRP so we could work back. Walked out again. At Muller, Lance actually listened, and told us there were multiple models of the car we are interested in and provided price ranges. Turns out the values detailed over the phone aligned with the USAA car buying service, and other internet research. I understand the internet isn't perfect, but it has good information to make an informed decision. Next step, we get to the dealership and pricing hasn't changed, the car is available, and everything is as expected. We compared various financing options and went with USAA financing. No high pressured sales to use Honda Financing, we all agreed money is the same regardless of lender (OK, unless it's some dirtball, predatory lender, but we're not considering the outliers here). Prep process was great, they offered additional upgrades, but there was no pressure. No was received as "NO" and we moved on. Part of the prep process included pairing phones with the car and training on all of the features. I'm a former Blackhawk pilot, and Maintenance Test Pilot, the systems are really pretty amazing, especially if you know how to work everything. Yes, it all works well on it's own, but the get all of the benefits, stay and understand how the systems work together. Overall, I enjoyed working with this dealership. Did I get some crazy, awesome deal? I'm sure everyone has their stories about how they outmaneuvered sales to achieve savings unheard of - the real stuff of legends where "steely-eyed" grandpa just took the salesman to town. I believe I paid around the market price (+/- one std. deviation). No "US vs. Them" or "win - lose", we paid a fair price and will go back to this dealership again. I'm a banker and kind of a quant-nut, so using this terminology is so ironic: I feel (the first "no, no" in finance - don't feel, "quantify") like we achieved a fair deal with a respectable firm and will continue this relationship when evaluating future car purchases. I think this sums it up.

I came to see a car I liked although I didn't buy one. The facilities were not splendid but had all it needs to be a good dealer -- a not big but big enough greeting room; and a garage with experienced mechanics. It's the place where you can find your dream car. It can't be compared to big dealers but I would certainly choose Z imports in terms of buying a nice clean used car. I talked to Rick and he had been helpful. And he said they would work out with credit card payment, which most large dealers do not. Although I didn't car this time, I would always go to Z imports and see if there's some good things like you're in an antique shop.

I was looking to purchase my first car. Reliable, 4WD/AWD, decent mileage, affordable price, and nice looking were on my check list among other wants. After searching and test driving multiple cars, I found an ad for an Audi A4 Quattro from this dealer. It appeared to have most of what I was looking for. After test driving the car and falling in love with it, I purchased it. Now while the car was everything I hoped it would be (and more so after driving through this blizzard's aftermath), what really set this group apart was the professionalism and accommodation of the people. I dealt with a few salesmen while test driving other cars prior to this one, and in each instance I couldn't shake the ever-present, oppressing "car salesman" feeling. It was quite a difference visiting Divan Auto Group. My father and I drove 70-some miles for my initial test drive on a freezing day, equipped with face-biting, hand-chapping cold wind and all. We called first to let them know of our visit, and when we did arrive I found the car running and warmed up. We were left to explore the car ourselves to see what it would do, all in the comfort of the warmed car interior. We inspected the major and minor details at our own pace with no pressure. I put a deposit down and set a date to finalize the purchase by the end of the week. The owners included the inspection in the price of the car, guaranteeing it ready-to-drive when we returned. For a young driver, this was wonderful. The day arrived I was to buy my first car. After signing the paperwork, completing the transfer, and receiving my plate (all which occurred in less than 2 hours), I was set to go. Less than half a mile from the dealer, a minor hiccup occurred: the windows wouldn't go down. Neither my father or myself proficient in newer cars knew what the issue may be. We brought it back and the owners graciously spent time trying to resolve the problem themselves. Ultimately, we needed to visit a local repair shop for a fuse replacement, but the men at Divan Auto Group assured me they would do whatever it took to fix my recent purchase--cost and all--while we waited. This occurrence alone impressed both my father, who has handled cars and dealers for the past 45+ years, and myself. Who else would do something similar in such a situation? Though they did sell me my first car, I hesitate to call these gentleman "salesmen" for their service alone doesn't deserve the stigma associated with the term. Thank you, Divan Auto Group. You helped me with my first car and made the entire process painless.

Bought the car as a demo u it from a dealer, with 3400 miles on the odometer. Nearly ten years later, it has more than110,000 miles. Still brings a smile to my face every time I drive it. The quality of this car is a delight. It's performance remains stellar, and the sounds it gives when accelerating are a thrill. In dynamic mode it corners like it's on rails. Though it's nearly 10 years old now, my daughter wants it to be her chauffeur car for her wedding. Room in back for me and my very tall brothers (we are all over 6'6"). Most important (for me) is that this car seems to have character. It's not just a tool to get around... It has personality. And it shouts excellence, especially in the interior. Cars have progressed since 2006. Some less expensive makes are faster, quieter, more efficient and even a bit prettier. But none that I've seen match the A8L in soulful driving. The downside, of course, is that parts for this baby are ridiculously expensive. I had a minor glitch in one headlight...$1900. Damage to the plastic lower bumper surround? $2100. Nonetheless, far more than worth it. The great memories we've had in this car will continue. I'm sold. Go get your new car... I'm sticking with my 2006.

This is a weird review, since I didn't actually buy a car from them, but it had nothing to do with the salesperson, Danny. I would've definitely pruchased from him if an offer I had placed a week prior didn't suddenly come through. I really found his honesty and helpfulness refreshing, since I had been in and out of several very snakey dealerships. I'd highly recommend Danny to anyone who is tired of the sales people who see them as nothing more than a mark.

Crazy About My A8L
by Jack from Sellersburg, IN
October 19, 2014

This is the first Audi I've owned. I never thought I would own another car for daily driving after driving an SUV since 1991, but this 2006 A8L has considerably more leg room than the 2003 Hummer H2 I previously owned and it gets 2-2.5 times better gas mileage. The power and handling are exceptional and the features are really cool. The only complaint I have with it is the weird electrical system such as the backseat dome lights staying on unless it is in the constant off position or the seat moving to my wife's seat position any time she gets into the car even when she doesn't push the key fob. I would definitely buy another Audi in the future. The German engineering is really good.

Panzer Tank with an Airplane Engine
by I like speed from Chicago, IL
July 31, 2014

This car outperforms and out-handles every other luxury sedan out there and most sports cars too. This a is a NASCAR pretending to be a luxury car. Considering it's weight, the AWD allows you to take corners at highway speeds. Sideways drifting in 90 degree turns only over 80 mph. No difference in rate of acceleration at 35, 80 or 110 mph. Rides the same at 70 and 140 mph. Genius engineering in the control cluster, located on the center console directly where your right hand naturally rests. Superior 360 degree driver visibility as compared to any other car in its class. Handled better than my CRV or Lexus 330 in the snow. Due to the AWD, sliding in slippery conditions is limited and always in a straight line. If you love to drive and don't live in a city where you can drive a true sports car year round because of weather, this is the last car you will ever buy. GERMAN ENGINEERING at its finest!

The most luxurious car I've owned to date
by Luxury Car Enthusiast from Maryland
December 9, 2012

Let me first start by saying this car is the best luxury sedan I've owned. I have been an owner of an E-350, Lexus LS430, and BMW 5 series. These cars have all had their issues like the Audi A8L but since owning this car, anything else would be a step down. A run down of some of the issues I've had to date include: failed engine valve - repair cost $300 to include labor Both Door assist on the driver's side $700 to include labor Seatbelt actuator $200 to include labor. If you are in the market for this vehicle you will not be disappointed. I will be keeping this car for awhile, and my next vehicle will be a sportscar to off set the luxury feel (smile). Did I mention, I really love this car.

The A8L with the Premium Sport Package is a limo with the heart of a Bugatti. The interior appointments of this car are hard to find in one automobile. The double stitched leather and burl-wood with two toned interior is beautiful. All wheel drive with four suspension modes plus speed adjusted lowering lets this car hold the road like a cat. Audi designed for 150 mph, Limited to 135 mph this is a Refined Sleeper with lots of power and unparalleled handling in all road conditions. Needless to say it is a dream to drive. Arrive in elegance after your exhilarating ride. This is the car in Transporter III with Jason Statham. Need I say more?

Wow!! What a car
by MikeOh from Ohio

Traded a Jaguar S-Type for this A8L. I thought Jaguar had the best ride until I drove this beauty. The features, the styling, the engineering are flawless. I do exaggerate a bit - the cup holders are way too shallow and the outside mirrors are remarkably small for such a large car. Also, I always love the automatic rearview mirror that dims headlight coming from behind, but what is the use if the side mirrors are not treated as well? Still, I do admit that this is one fine piece of machinery. The power, the intuitiveness of the MMI control, the stable yet refined ride. All I can say is Wow!! What a car

My boyfriend and I were literally driving up and down the strip, going to different dealerships in hopes of me finding a car. I was ready to give up and my boyfriend made me go to this place before leaving the area and I'm so glad that I did! Alex was very helpful and more than willing to work with me. They were very understanding of my situation and made the process super quick and painless. I drove off in a beautiful civic with affordable monthly payments. Thank you for your time, help and for making this a great experience for me.
