This car has been a ton of fun to own. I searched far and wide to find a 128i couple in dark gray, with navigation. Patience paid off and I found the one I currently own several months later, and it has been an absolute showstopper. I am constantly getting compliments on this car, even though it is now seven years old. It is aging very gracefully and has not been hard to maintain. Highly recommend.

Bought my 128i with 50,000 miles 3 years ago and it has needed very little attention. Basic maintenance and not any major problems. Had a z3 and this is every bit as fun to drive. For a 13 year old vehicle I get many people commenting on the looks and they think it is much newer. I think BMW is going to regret doing away with the inline 6 engine eventually. Super reliable engine that is only used in their upper end vehicles and the high performance M models now days. The turbocharger engines are impressive performing but you just don't get the reliability of them that are non turbo. Unless you are looking for more horsepower don't go turbocharger. They are expensive to maintain and turbos wear out premature opposed to non turbo engines. The 128i is the perfect amount of horsepower to size and weight for the majority of people. It is a shame that it was discontinued. If you find a well maintained one you can't go wrong. Ask any mechanic about turbo engine reliability and they will side with any car without a turbo!!

This car is a dream car ! It is perfect for women as well as men with minimal but modern interior and intricate exterior. It has 3.0 engine with 6 cylinders which make it an excellent companion on the highway. The horse power is 230 which suits well those who are up for some fun rides !

I have driven a stick-shift all my life, but this tops the experience. I chose it because of the small size and total visibility all around. The stability is exceptional. Being a German car, it doesn't provide much storage, but that was expected. Main problem is distance for dealerships because I live near NOTHING.

I live in another state and had a friend go check the car (Volvo V60)out even though it had a Carfax report. It was in great condition like Chris had told me and the pictures showed. Test drove it when I got there before signing the paperwork and was very impressed. Chris took care of all the details, so the buying/signing process was very easy. Emily and the rest of the crew were all very friendly as well. He has nothing but top quality vehicles on his lot. This is definitely not a high pressure car lot like most of them. It has the m sport package so it comes with sport suspension and lowered, m bumper, paddle shifters and m steering wheel, sports seats. It is what I hoped for really. Great fun to drive and the kids enjoy it! Win all around.

I have had convertibles since 1975. 68 Camaro, 76 Jeep CJ5, 92 Chrysler LeBaron GTS, 96 BMW 328iC, 06 Pontiac Solstice and now the 12 BMW 128i. Retired in 2017 and had to feed the desire for another convertible in 2019 and the 128i ticked all the boxes for my current desires. Fit and reliability. At 6'1" I don't fit into a MX5, so that's the 1st two check offs. RWD, so no Audi, A4 FWD in my price range. Six cylinder preferably straight 6 for perfect engine balance. Nissan 350/370 are ugly chops. Then the exotics(shut up Porsche boys) were too expensive for repairs. I learned "basic" repairs on the E36. I have done many easy maintenance jobs in my garage that allows me to have this Touring car. As a touring car having a back seat is great for a cooler, backpack, and doggy space. With the trunk space (2X) of MX5 this makes a great touring car for weeks on the road. 230hp for a car this small is great for ripping through the Rockies and the Twisted Sisters outside of Fredericksburg of Texas.

The 1 series is so in demand and delivers pure adrenaline and value. Highly recommend if you can find it! Perfect handling and easy to do anything in.

The 128i convertible is beautiful black and black interior. Lot of fun driving well balanced. Unfortunately it is expensive to fix when something breaks. And watch the car in hot fL i have gone through 3 tops the back window starts to separate from the top otherwise it is a great car

This is car is a fun sporty car that can be driven around everyday or have some fun at the track. It is a pleasure to drive. The 128 is MUCH more reliable than the 135. The 128 has the N52 engine which has plenty of power and just will not die. I have 78k on mine and I haven't had any mechanical issues. If you take care of it this is great car. Styling is beautiful classy and aggressive. This car is a future classic. The last time BMW made thier iconic inline 6 engine naturally aspirated. It also handles like a dream and in the summer time with the roof off flying through corners it surely is an experience

My wife loves this car, its ease of getting around and parking. We take the car on evening cruses about every night through out the summer. I drive it a lot harder than she does and it has amazing handling. It has over 100.000 miles and still running great.
