I love the M-sport package look on this car. It looks sleek and sporty. With a cold air intake this car sound beautiful. Rides great and can save a lot of gas in eco mode vs sport mode. Paddle shifters are fun and responsive.

The overall experience is quite good, got a decent price for the car. The car comes with a standard set of accessories and a full tank of gas.

Our 3rd BMW, wanted fun weekend car, couldn’t find Z4 coupe so we settled on a pre-owned 428i coupe w/ Sport Line pkg. Wow! Turn dynamic display to Sport + and it’s a Screamer! Turn it back to Comfort = 35 mpg w/ cruise set at 75 mph. True coupe, room for 4 full size adults. Once you change out run flats ride really improves. Was very surprised what BMW can do with 4 cylinder, now a believer. It does everything a sports coupe should do, excels at almost all of them. Our car was dead nuts reliable, no issues. And it is a very attractive, athletic looking car. Plenty of compliments. And spoke with some BMW track guys, one who owned a tuned +380 hp 428i, advised it was a 8/10ths car- it does 80% of a M powered coupe- pretty impressive.

2015 BMW 428i is an awesome ride. If you want a Sports Car but also a daily Driver, this is the car for you! Powerful yet efficient Engine when you want to save on gas.

I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. I had to trust Jonathan, my salesman, to tell me the condition of the car where the pics could not. He was completely honest and the car was exactly what he said it was. Between Jonathan and Adam, the sales manager i was able to close the deal and drive back to home within an hour. I am completely pleased with the car and 100% satisfied with the dealership. I've been a BMW fan for many years, and this 428i has not disappointed. It drives and handles just as it should, and the 4-cylinder turbocharged engine is excellent. The seatbelt 'presenters' do not work well, and the door pull handles melt in the Florida heat; other than those two little annoyances, this is an exceptional automobile.

Michael Henry is an excellent salesman! He listened and worked hard to get me the car I was looking for.... of course I did my research to know what I was looking for .... and more importantly, he found the car at the price I was looking for! 5 stars to Michael! Make sure he’s the person you use to find you the right car for the right price! He was very patient, professional and mindful! I also appreciate the length Carmax agreed to go to to ensure I was satisfied with the Vehicle to fix needed repairs. I give them 3.5-4 stars for that. I did not like the loaner car that Service put me... it was not good to borer line okay.

This car was everything i was looking for, cheap on gas, quick and cheap. The N55 engine is the most reliable engine in my opinion. I have owned 4 BMW vehicles with all types of engines but this was by far the most reliable. I never had to worry about the car breaking down and i never spent thousands of dollars on issues. I paid as much as anyone would pay for a Japanese or american car.

Car Max seemed very straightforward and transparent. Pricing is no haggle set pricing. I appreciate the excellent customer service and they appreciated my time. Carmax has simplified the process.

I bought my 2016 BMW 428i convertible sight unseen, except for pictures in the Fall, 2021. It had just under 29,000 miles. The seller was an old friend living in Atlanta. We didn’t haggle on price, she received more than a trade in offer, I paid less than a dealer sale. I also factored into my cost shipping to NJ, $650 plus a five year extended warranty, $3,300. I absolutely love the car. I’ve never owned a BMW and now I better understand owner loyalty. Handling is a dream and I’m always surprised at my speed, going 70 when I thought it was 50. Getting my 68 year old body in and out can be difficult, but it’s worth. I bought just as gas prices were going up, but I don’t drive as much as I used to. It did cost $70 to fill my tank. All in all I couldn’t be happier.

Great experience. They were efficient and friendly. I made an appointment and the BMW was ready for a test drive when I arrived. I would definitely buy from them again.

Personally I prefer the older iterations of the BMW 3 series. They were heavier, smoother, and the 6 cyl naturally aspirated engines had a better feel than the 4 cyl twin turbo 428 test drove. The 2013+ model years feel much lighter. There is no " power" (at least not in the 4cyl twin turbo I drove). You have to jump on it to make it really go. Otherwise, the pinging and under powered 4 cyl is disappointing. While the 428xi is superior to most other cars in its class (new MB C-series disappointing), and sure looks sexy and is a fine driving and riding car (M-series a bit stiff), I have 2004 and 2007 model year 3 series that I prefer.
