It is due to my age the ultimate driving machine, the performance and fuel efficiency are fantastic it is what you expect from a BMW. The only thing I don’t have anything good to say is the ultra expensive of the dealers maintenance cost unless you have some really good mechanic to see your car and retired that I am you spend a fortiune paying for service no other complain.

This is one of the greatest cars ever built with proper service. The leather is second rate. Painted surfaces on the interior don't wear well. When suspension bushings wear out, there is a rattling noise when driving over brick pavers. Nearly 500 miles on a full tank is great. Quiet engine, stable at high speed, long lasting brakes. Comfortable seats. Powerful engine but sluggish transmission that could use 4 more gears in this era. Exterior paint still looks good after 18 years. Cold, quiet a/c. Low maintenance cost. Change oil every 4 months or 3 times per year. Tires last much longer than FWD cars.

10/10 got my brake calipers painted with ceramic tints and everything came out perfect.

Bought this vehicle pre-owned in 2019 at a fabulously discounted price. Had only 19,000 miles on it at the time (probably only driven to church and the grocery by a nice widow). Now, in 2025, has 55,000 miles on it. Probably the best automobile I have ever owned. Performance is outstanding, repair history as good if not better than any other vehicle I owned. I added a BMW-focused, after-market Carplay system in 2021 to my existing onboard electronics system. Has worked very well and did an admirable of replacing the BMW Connected Drive system after the latter went dark. Biggest problem has been the tires wore out and I am replaciong the back struts and shocks, but some of that may be my fault. Otherwise, subjected to routine maintenance and had NO issues. Would buy again in a minute.

I purchased a 2017 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor. Great price and more importantly the staff were friendly and awesome. I thank everyone at Bergen for a great experience. BTW they have a great selection of police interceptors to chose from.

Recently purchased 2013 bmw 528i Xdrive - Alpine white over cinnamon brown beautiful spec. 80k miles - 6 months later no problems. Equipped with cold weather package - and 360 camera. Amazing technology for the year. The illuminated door handles at night really provide a luxury feel before entering the comfortable interior. Extremely smooth drive but then you put it in Sport mode and everything changes - faster throttle response. Tighter steering, propelling you forward leaving everyone in your rear view. The sound system although not specified as Harman/Kardon still is loud enough for me to not care. Really loud and stock Bluetooth connectivity is great. Engine has light rattle sound on start up but it’s a common noise for that base engine and gets quieter when engine warms up. First bmw and easily stands out as one of my favorite cars owned to date.

I just went into my local shop for this 528 X Drive's first real service (other than oil and brakes) since dealer service ended at 4 years 40K. i have had no real issues and had transmission, transfer case , front diff & rear diff fluids changed. Looking forward to my next 100K

Great navigation system, roomy interior, stylish, easy to drive, large trunk space. The memory seat adjustment is a plus. Also has a great sound system.

I’ve long wanted to own a BMW. I waited until I retired from a U.S. auto mfg. to buy my 528i with X Drive. Initially it was to serve as my winter transportation here in Michigan. But unless I spent $$ on winter tires the car was not great in snow or on ice. I still drive it in winter but only when the roads are fairly clear. I’ve been very impressed by the way this BMW handles on the road. Probably one of the most comfortable car I’ve driven for long distances. Extremely comfortable seats. It’s not a sports car but it handles extremely well. I was surprised to discover it can deliver great fuel economy. I got over 30 mpg on a trip to Florida. I bought it used off a lease with about 78k miles. It now has about 112k miles with no huge costly repairs needed. Great car!

As anyone knows, the stress and time that goes into finding a used vehicle. From my first stop to see the car, Erik was accommodating, and there was no pressure. It took a couple of days to see some other similar vehicles and found our way back to this one. Test drove it with Erik and enjoyed his knowledge and personality, and did not feel rushed. A small down payment to hold the vehicle while doing the finance paperwork. Easy and quick process, and Rob, the finance guy, understood our parameters and helped us get there. The no hidden fees was a big plus to know our exact costs. Where these guys really shined was when we ran into insurance quote issues. I bought a 2010 528xidrive and fell in love within minutes. I had always wanted a BMW , and since I was born in Germany i felt entitled. I believe in being straight up in any and all situations. So yes I love my car more than my husband lol im excited to drive every day, there is nothing like the feeling you get when your behind the wheel of a bmw luxury sedan. It handles well on the freeway,and Excell's quickly . However bmw any model has to be maintained. Its not cheap but my love for the car is why I do it. This car has an extremely large battery and it takes alot of power to keep everything functional. The advice i would give is read up on the bmw model you want. Learn how the vehicle operates and understand what your bmw is telling you. maintenance your bmw with a reputable certified bmw mechanic. The only issues I have is that after 10 my bmw shows signs of needing shocks and struts. Other than that the stereo for being stock is off the hook ,and I like loud music. I get compliments on a daily basis . My car has a sexapele that is undeniable. Lol oh if a problem does arise check your fuses first. I hope this helps you decide to buy your own personal ultimate driving machine. You won't regret it!

I have only had it for about two weeks. But it is an amazing car for being 8 years old. The exterior is in amazing condition, and after I put on a ceramic coating it looks like it just came off a new car showroom floor. Took it on a road trip last week and marveled at what a good road car it was. All in all it was a happy purchase I made.

This car has plenty of room. Heated steering wheels and heated back and front seats. Great instrumentation. Conformable ride. Its has an Eco Pro mode which works great for efficient dynamics and fuel efficiency.

I bought my car three years ago. I am very impressed with the smoothness of the drive, reliability, and features. With over 170,000 miles, primarily maintenance items only. Are dealers in repair shops will try to charge more based on the vehicle, but maintenance is quite easy and inexpensive if you do them yourself. It is important to regularly change the oil and filter every 5000 to 7500 miles to keep it operating smoothly. Only non-maintenance repairs include front CV shafts ($160), Control Arm ($110) and Fuel Pump ($140) which I found videos on YouTube and completed within two hours each. Regular oil and filter changes ($30) take 15 minutes and very easy to access. If you don’t mind doing the work yourself, the car is inexpensive to keep and maintain, gets good gas mileage (28mpg), drives excellent, and looks great.

BMW 5 series is the best of luxury and sports car. Love everything about this car. All the luxury features I wanted on the inside, aggressive sports car on outside with M Sport package and great fuel economy. Don't be fooled though, the 4 cyl turbo has great acceleration in sport and comfort mode, Eco mode gives great fuel economy (I avg 31 mpg) for road trips. Overall I get 24 mpg for my daily driving. Has 18 gal gas tank (premium fuel only). Interior is very roomy including the back seats. Plenty of cargo space in the trunk. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the remote start option not being available. But for me that was not a deal breaker. I only have 46k miles on mine currently but expect this car to last for the long haul. Will definitely be getting another 5 series when it's time to trade this one in.
