Visited to test drive through Costco Auto program. Monica was prompt in connecting and arranging a test drive. Since she was occupied with a customer, Olya assisted. She was very professional throughout the test drive and purchase of a 330i. The 2023 BMW 530xe PHEV hits the sweet-spot for what I want in a vehicle: 1) with up to 21 e-miles on a full charge I have enjoyed 100% electric driving for almost all my day-to-day trips (in the past year I’ve only filled the gas tank to our 530xe about 3-4 times), 2) Easy road-trips with no interruption to wait-around for my car to charge, just fill the tank with gas and keep going. I’m just not ready to go electric-only because the technology and charging infrastructure just isn’t there (until it’s as quick and easy to get a full electric charge as it is to fill your gas tank (in just 3-5 minutes), I’ll happily enjoy my 530xe PHEV. It’s literally the best of both worlds. Also the 530xe is stylish (I get unsolicited comments often), seats are comfortable on long road-trips and car is sporty to drive. Plus the back seat is comfortable too — often not the case in other vehicles. I’ve throughly enjoyed my 2023 530xe with no mechanical problems or issues.

The good features of the 530e definitely outweigh the bad. The positive features include: good performance handling, good looks, and decent technology. The negative qualities are: less trunk space, sketchy fuel economy numbers, less than average battery performance and slower engine-only performance. As a former owner of multiple 5 Series vehicles, this looks similar but its clearly a different car with different body panels. BMW delivered this car with a level 1 portable charger, that charges fully from 0 to full (21 miles) in about 12 hours. A level 2 charger would recharge faster, but is not necessary if overnight charging works for you. Still having fun with this hybrid for now.

I bought my mini there a few years back and got a great price from them on the purchase of my Countryman... no pressure, just honest dealing I continue to rave about the after sales service that South Bay continues to provie me. There is a new Mini Dealer closer to me in Santa Monica but I continue to drive 45 mins each way to SB, it is well worht the extra effort to me. I have never been disappointed with the care that has been extended to me. I need to give recognition to the service manager "Lino"... Even though my car is out warranty he is the main reason that I continue to bring my car to Southbay . He is very professional and always willing to go the extra mile to be certain that things are right for all of his customers...in fact, Lino and the service department will be the reason that when I am ready to purchase another Mini it will be because of the after sales servie etc. If you want a great price on a Mini as well as great service, South Bay in my opinion is the Only Way Best, Ben

I want to start off with the compassion this place has for the customers. I never once felt pressured for anything when being here and talking with the sales reps. I had the pleasure of doing business with Rami. He took things at my pace, was very understanding and I felt tried his hardest to get me into the car I so desperately wanted. He kept me updated on the car and walked me through each step making sure I was comfortable and answering my questions to reassure me of what was going on. Then came the gorgeous Vanessa who emailed me during the week to make sure my dream car was still available. When I went into the dealership she introduced herself and sat to talk to me even though I was working with Rami. She was very nice and also made my experience that much better. She honestly cared and I could tell by how passionately she spoke to me and could see it in her eyes. Last came Argenis who tried his hardest to get me the best deal I could handle. I started searching for a certified 2019, BMW X3, last October 2020. Through CARS.com I found several places within 100 miles from my home. I then started the elimination process based on equipment packages, price, miles driven, etc. Once I found the car that came closed to what I wanted I contacted that dealership, in this case, McKenna BMW. Immediately I received an email from a salesman named Stanley and we talked about my expectations, what I was looking for, and how I wanted to handle a purchase if everything I wanted was met by the dealer. Stanley was humble, professional, honest and more importantly he listened to my requests and concerns. With the information I provided him with he searched his inventory and found me a 2020, BMW X3, with only 5K miles (demo car) with the packages I was looking for. The price was also only $1400 more than an older model with more miles. He provided me with all the necessary info and websites available to start a purchase process with the understanding that not until I saw and test drove the car that I would make my final decision. We then set an appointment date and time to finally meet and see the car. I live approximately 89 to 101 miles from the dealership so I did not want to waste my time or the dealership’s, I wanted everything to be easy and ready for a final decision. Upon arrival at the dealership we were met by nice friendly people and then finally met Stanley and his manager. They never pressured me into buying the car, they explained the purchase process, warranty, etc. The BMW was what I had been looking for, I test drove it and because we had initiated the purchase process days prior (finance approval, down payment, and monthly payments) the rest of the paperwork was completed in a timely manner. I want to thank CARS.com for making my vehicle search a fun and easy one and I especially want to thank McKenna BMW for working with me to find me the car I’ve been dreaming about for the last 4 months.

Went in there for an oil change. Even though I had an appointment, waiting time was over two hours. Still, the overall experience was great. Nice waiting area with coffee and snacks!
