2011 BMW 535 Gran Turismo review
We've had this car for 2 years and put 20K miles on it. We're the 3rd owner and it's driven mostly by my wife. Bottom line, we love the car. It's a confident ride, even in incremental weather with xDrive. My Hendrick BMW advisor told me it was built on a 7 Series Chasis. It's huge inside with reclining back seats! The double rear hatch design is unique but we rarely open the lower hatch so I'm not sure why it was engineered that way. I'm in my early 50's and this is our 6th BMW. I'd say my 2000 BMW 735i with staggered M Wheels was my favorite but now that we have a large family, this serves us well. Costco trips are a breeze and the panoramic roof is wonderful...until it broke. If you don't have the means to deal with repair costs, buy a Honda. I say this sincerely. We bought it for $19,500 cash from a private owner. At that time, dealerships were asking just under $25K. In 2 years, we've purchased run-flat tires, AC blower motor and Final Stage Unit (bought the parts from Bav Auto and installed them myself), Spark Plugs (they have to be BMW - installed myself), air struts died in the rear (BMW specialist shop), various suspension components (BMW specialty shop), battery, and just last week the sunshade ripped apart on it's tracks. We've spent about $6,000 in repairs (I'm including the quote on the panoramic sunroof and left out the cost of the tires). I'm not shocked because my previous two 5 Series BMW's had issues. Only my old 1986 325 never gave me issues for four years. I do love this car but it's costly to maintain. Now with 85K miles I'm sure we'll see more surprises, but my wife insists on keeping it. Personally I'd rather see her in a Lexus GS 350 AWD but she says the Lexus is dull. BTW - on two occasions the engine completely shut down on her and left her stranded. We took it to the BMW dealers and they found no issues. I don't feel she'd have this in a Lexus.

X Drive Auto Sales, Inc. review
Friendly staff, not too pushy; however, Buyer Beware -- they do a great job making a car look great both in pictures and in person, but the car we bought turned out to have nearly non-existent brakes, badly worn rotors, and, unfortunately, engine damage from having been run with little to no oil in the past. We checked the oil in the parking lot, looked new and topped off, and no signs of leaking. Didn't check the exhaust pipe, however, which would have given a clue to the amount of oil the engine was (is) burning. We discovered this upon getting a 120K mile service interval one week *after* purchase from XDrive -- they pulled the oil filter and there was a TON of metal shavings in it, and we soon discovered that its burning oil at the rate of approx. one quart per gas tank or six hours of driving time. Only way to have found this was to have it checked by a mechanic *before* purchase.

This car is fantastic, but it does take some getting use to the plethora of controls. It is a fantastic car to drive and I recommend this vehicle to anyone in the market for a nice luxury vehicle.

2011 BMW 535 Gran Turismo review
I have always wanted to drive something unique and voila...set my eyes on a 2011 Certified Pre-Owned 535i GT with 29,000 miles. It gives me the legroom of a 7 series and head room of an X5. So I brought it in 2015 and here are my thoughts after 2 years of owning it: Advantages: - Unmatched stability & confident handling at highway speeds - Abundant toys (soft close doors, heads up display, Lane & Blind spot assist) Disadvantages: - On slower speeds, not anywhere as nimble as a regular 5 series. (after all, it technically on a 7 series chassis) - Replaced the battery (not covered under warranty) as it complained of "increased discharge". Several owners have complained about this issue.

Very good people they worked with me and never gave up until i got the car I wanted
2011 BMW 535 Gran Turismo review
Just great car for performance, style, and yet great taking kids to & from school/sports whatever & whenever. It wows people as you take your client to a venue & they get in the back seat & say "this feels like an executive car." The whole time you know your kids ride back there every day to school & never hear that from them! Lol

Just purchased a CPO from Kai. He did the deal entirely over email and had my car delivered to my house. He matched the CarMax price and took my car away when the new car was delivered. I would 💯 recommend this dealership
2011 BMW 535 Gran Turismo review
Picked it up in July 2011 European delivery. Fantastic car, comfortable and $30,000 discount over the 7 series (an old man?s car). Just bummed they discontinued it. Will drive it till it dies. 120,000 miles and counting.
