1993 BMW 850 review
These are great cars...'nuff said. They are beautiful to look and turn heads as you drive through town. Freeway cruising is a real joy, although around town the car is a bit heavy. The toys and gadgets on this car seem never ending. It has multiple computers for management of car operations which really increases the sophistication of the car...and the repair costs. Performance is adequate from a start (0-60 mph=6.9 sec) but the car really shines at freeway speeds. The engine has effortless grunt at low end and cruising at 80 mph requires just 2800rpm. Regulated top speed is 155 mph but unregulated is 188 mph. The car has a very low drag rating of .29CD, very excellent. Fuel ratings vary with foot pressure but I have seen 26 mpg on the freeway at reasonable speeds. This is a car for people who like the BMW mark and have a few extra dollars for exclusivity. The enthusiast clubs for this car are very strong.

1992 BMW 850 review
A fine automobile. Extremely smooth and powerful acceleration. Can drive for hours and not feel tired. Heavy cross winds are not even noticed. With bad leg difficult to get into now.

A very fast moving car. I’ll be watching for cops! It is a very smooth ride and the music system is excellent. Very sleek looking exterior! The car is a 2019 but that wasn’t listed to choose.

1993 BMW 850 review
This car is one of the best kept secrets in the collector car world. The level of sophistication, mechanical engineering, design and timeless beauty belies the fact that the car was designed in 1984-1986. Those who think this car has to be expensive to maintain, clearly have never tried to maintain one on their own. There is nothing you can't maintain yourself - I know I have 5 of them and they all drive. Parts are available all over the internet at a fraction of the price the dealer wants. I do not spend more on these cars than I have done on any other high end production car except when I change spark plugs - I have to buy a few extra! For those who want more power, there are engine chips and super chargers available as well as a myriad of suspension and brake upgrades. The trick is to NOT take it to the dealer, but to join the forums and other entities that deal with 850's and then maintain the car yourself. Maybe find a good local shop that does not see you as a meal ticket, but has an interest in helping you keep you car running. All the help you need is available from a very strong group effort all across the world. Go ahead - get one while the price is still ridiculously low - and enjoy the performance of the best of German engineering as well as the sleek design of this beauty. I am snapping up as many as I can get my hands on.
