I've owned the BMW for 6 years, and the M Roadster is the most enjoyable car I have ever driven. The 3.2L engine is BMW M rock solid, and is just a beast in such a light weight car. You take the car out for an afternoon drive and you just don't want to stop driving. The Nappa leather seats hug you like a race car, and with the top down on a sunny day all you want to do is find the next set of curves and hills, shifting through all 5 gears, a true driver's car. I would never admit to driving my M over 140 mph on an open stretch of road ;-)

Fantastic customer service, on the phone and in person. Saw the car on-line in Central Florida and was contacted by Dan in a timely manner. He answered all my questions and was very professional. I've had my M roadster for two months now. Every time I get in the car, the corners of my mouth turn up to my ears and my heart leaps into my throat. I drive like it's stolen. I've topped it out on the turnpike and I don't often take a corner without a little smoke coming off the tires. Okay, sometimes a lot of smoke. At 155, the ride is smooth as glass and handling is effortless. Don't worry about the small calipers; braking from 155 to 75 (for an SUV changing lanes without a signal) is gentle as an ocean breeze; electronic assistance keeps the car quite nimble. The suspension is outstanding. I was racing (actually smoking like a fat ham) a Nissan something-Z and hit a nice dip in the road...well...more like a ramp. All four tires came up! The M handled that just as gracefully. It's always ready for the driver's next request and executes commands with flawless precision. And the exhaust note is simply beautiful! Love it or hate it: Full throttle; let it all hang out-- LOVE IT! Try to take it easy; kid gloves -- still love it, just not as much. Drop the top, crank the tunes and cruise xxxx-style. When trying to behave myself around town, I've found it doesn't take sharp corners; it wallows through them. Only when you break the back tires loose does it perform smoothly. The CG seems to be nicely balanced fore and aft, but is definitely TOO HIGH! The angles between the friction points and the CG have a large effect on body roll and in a turn the forces induced on the tires are not symmetrical. This causes the back end to roll a little more than the front. Inertia carries the rear end forward and the high CG shifts slightly to the rear and side opposite the turn; more so than it would if it were lower. This reduces downforce on the front tires and increases their slip angle. All of that adds up to understeer. Break the rear tires loose and their slip angle catches up to the front tires. You're on your way around the corner. Don't let my complaints about cornering overshadow the incredible car this is. I'm just spoiled by the '99 Miata (still the best handling car I've ever driven). Overall, and in every other respect, the M is the exemplar roadster (albeit a bit of a brute). Lots of luxury, badass power plant, precision engineering and tremendous flash! (Bling! Bling!)

The Z3 M Roadster is one of the last BMW's that offers drivers a visceral driving experience, free of electronic safety nannies. Mine is a 2000 model year which has the S52 engine from the 90's E36 M3 and it's known as one of the best engines BMW has ever produced. While it doesn't have the 300+ horsepower that the 2001 and 2002 models have with their S54 engine, 240 horsepower is plenty for such a small car. The interior has a sort of retro vibe that I think is one of the best designed interiors of the era.

There is the Z3, and then there is the ///M Roadster. I stumbled upon a 2001 Z3 2.5i years back, and was well satisfied with the look, feel and performance of the car. That was of course, until I had the opportunity to test drive a 2000 ///M Roadster. They looked similar, with several cosmetic differences, but from the moment I released the clutch pedal and nearly launched out of the dealer's parking lot, I knew that I had robbed myself by purchasing the Z3 before the M Roadster. I now own two M Roadsters and they both are just as fun to drive as when I first bought them. The 2002 has an extra allure to it for being the last production year, and having the S54 motor. The looks of the car are unique and sexy. There will probably never be another BMW roady with the lines that the Z3M carry. Although the Z3 coupe is said to have an unappealing look or that of a shoe, the M Roadster manages to steer away from such statements. Inside, it is designed to be a true sports enthusiast's car. Simplicity with luxury is what I like to call it, but much more comfortable than an Elise. Handling of the car is solid. Going into corners is just as enjoyable as coming out of them, and the motor sounds great without modification. After owning two M Roadsters for over 3 years, the biggest maintenance job I have dealt with is brakes/tires/oil/gas. Not in that order. No motor/tranny/clutch problems at all. If driven responsibly, you will have no problems making it well into the 100k mileage with zero issues outside of standard wear and tear. Try not to keep it out on a rainy day however, as the convertible top is known for minor leaks near the top latch. This too can be rectified by ensuring that the top is closed firmly. Overall, this is an excellent entry level super car. Enthusiasts need not hesitate unless they plan on having more gadgets in their Roadster than driver. This car was not meant to come equipped with nav, steering wheel shifting flaps or space for groceries. It's meant to be driven by heart, passion and a love for simplicity with style.

Great car with classic looks, an inline 6 engine up front, manual transmission in the middle and power going to the rear wheels through an LSD...says it all!

If I were in the market and looking for a convertible top with a nominal amount of cargo space and loads of power, this is the care for you. The trunk is not overly large, but is much better than some of the other convertibles available in the 10-20k price range. If you have the $$ go for the 2001 or 2002 S54 engine equipped models for even more power out of the box!

Purchased a 2013 Camaro ZL1 convertible. We agreed to a deal Friday morning and Nick made special accommodations to meet me on Saturday to take delivery. I flew into Indianapolis Saturday morning. He had all the paperwork ready to go. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes and headed on my drive back to Chicago. The car was exactly as stated, I have never purchased a vehicle sight unseen and was slight nervous. From my experience I can highly recommend this dealership.

I am the original owner of a 1998 Boston Green M Roadster with Black/Gray interior. This car looked awesome on the dealer showroom and after test driving it won me over. 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and handling like a slot car while always drawing admiring looks, this car impresses all who see it and wows all who drive it. The car is completely impractical (you can't even fit a bag of golf clubs in the trunk) but if you are in a two car family it is a wonderful luxury/toy! I have sold most cars I've owned after a couple of years mostly because I've grown bored of driving them. 12 years after purchasing this beast I still look forward to every drive!

I have on this particular model BMW since it's inception I have driven vehicles for hundreds of thousands of Miles was not one time having it let me down, car is wonderful as a daily driver him when the mood strikes you the driver can be as compatible competitive depending on the drivers ability. Cars have been escalating in price in only 2800 or manufactured therefore they will become extremely rare and expensive for those interested this would be a good time to react.

I have put 50k trouble free miles on my '98 M Roadster. At 5.3 sec 0-60 times, it will smoke any Boxter and all but the newer 'vettes...and it still turns heads when people see it. Best car I have ever owned...best sports car for the money anywhere.
