Prior to my purchasing a 2024 BMW X5 plug in hybrid, I had both an electric and gas powered cars due to a fear of traveling long distances with an electric vehicle. I researched both traditional hybrid and plug in hybrid coming to conclusion that plug in was perfect for my needs. BMW X5 e had the longest range so I decided to purchase one a month ago. I have driven the car approximately 900 miles on one and a half tank of gas and several nightly charges. The quality of the car is exceptional and I love the performance. I would highly recommend this car.

Under Oscar’s guidance from his earliest work with Autobarn Mazda of Evanston to date, I never have had to return to him with a complaint that the work had been done poorly, with mistakes made, or required work not having been done at all. Yes, good work by mechanics have made that possible, but only under the tight, intelligent, direction and inspection of Galatia. He also has a pleasing and satisfying way of dealing with all of his customers whom I have observed close up when I have regularly waited with other customers to have their vehicles worked on and returned. Because of Oscar and the work results he has managed and produced, I have frequently recommended Autobarn and it’s excellent service work and Service Advisor management to others who need a place recommended for consistently good prices, management, and charges. I suggest that management do whatever it can to retain the services of its multi-talented and perceptive Service Advisor Oscar Galatia. He is well trained, experienced, intelligent, and dedicated as I have seen first hand when he has worked with me. I found the perfect car -- a 2021 Porsche Macan GTS -- listed at a great price on Perillo BMW's website. Being from out of state (Pennsylvania), I reached out to the dealership remotely. I flew out to Chicago on a Saturday morning to complete the deal, and Mike even gave me a great local recommendation for Chicago pizza while the front office was finalizing the paperwork. The whole whole experience was smooth and I couldn't be happier with the car or the way I was treated. Rep was great, no hard sale, spent time with me, looking at various options. Manager was also easy to work with and make my deal happen. Made extra effort to make deal happen and drive car out that night (stayed an hour after closing!). Found a spot later on car, without hesitation, took it to shop and buffed out, they could have easily not done this. Great experience!

Vel is a great sales guy. Very responsive and will work with the customer. We drove from MI with a trade in and they honored their offer. There were a couple minor things like steering wheel was more worn than we would have expected given the nice condition of the rest of the car. Small headliner plug interior for convertible top was missing. Other than that it was a smooth transaction.
