I've owned my 2003 3.0i 6sp E85 for almost 9 years. Equipped w/ M Sport option, 18" staggered alloys and painted in a beautiful Toledo Blue. Yes the car has need some maintenance, some worn parts replaced, but nothing too surprising or extraordinary expensive aside from tires. I'm in my 60's and still do most of my own work. Love the ride, the style, 6sp manual transmission, the power, the smoothness of the car in general. Would I recommend this car? Only to those that love a car that YOU want to drive. NO AI frills to distract one. Just a pure driving experience.

Where can I begin? - I first owned a 1968 Shelby 350, then went to Pontiac for their Trans-Am models until 2000 when I bought my first BMW 3 in 2000. In 2003, I completely changed brands to BMW with my Z4. 2nd Day of production, I was in BMW's factory in Spartanburg,SC to witness her birth. Afterwards, we spent our first moments together on BMW's nearby test track. After those all too brief moments, she was wrapped & packaged to be delivered to my dealer in AZ. The days I spent waiting in AZ seemed endless as I waited to bring her into my home. She now has a special space in my garage. It may sound somewhat anthropomorphic but BMW creates a product which becomes part of your life. Own a BMW and be prepared to have it become part of Your Family.

Al was really nice. He made us very comfortable which. The vehicle was waiting & running when we arrived at the dealership. It was exactly as pictures showed and it did not disappoint.

Love how it handles now after upgrading to 18 inchers with Michelin Pilot Sports. It's a bit underpowered with the 2.5 but certainly adequate. Will still top out at 236 kph! Keep up with maintenance on these cars otherwise they'll bite you. Check forums for items.

This is a 2005 BMW Z4 purchased in 2013 with 48,000 miles. This has to be one of the best cars BMW ever made. It has a strong engine. It is super fun to drive. The fastest i have taken her up to is about 120 miles an hour. and it didn't even feel like I was going a hundred and twenty. That's on the straight away. However this car performs stupendously in the curves! I will say that since I purchased her I've had to replace the top motor. Valve cover gasket and numerous other things. So this car is not a cheap toy but everything I have put into her is well worth it because I drive around with a smile on my face. Great little convertible! She now has 88,000 miles and as long as she is maintained she will be going strong for quite some time.

These are amazing cars in my opinion. With so many options that are included in even the base models, truly impressive work the additional available packages. I was lucky enough to find a 2003 with 68,000 miles for just under $8,000... this was a couple years ago. It valued at $11,000 with all the options it has (convenience package, premium sound package, sport package, etc), and all values just about the same or a tad higher. With some of these options, you can adjust our turn off the traction control, or various other features in case you have s different driving requirement or style lol. Final comment on this; just a couple of days ago I was pulled over by a motorcycle officer running a speed trap. The very first thing he said to me was "Ok, so this obviously isn't a 2003... what's going on with it?" Lol you get that a lot with these cars.

The car is now 14 years old - and I’m still as happy with it as I was for my review here ten years ago. In fact, I’ve shown it in 6 of the 8 annual Deutsche Marques show at the Gilmore Car Museum in SW Michigan. I’ve put three sets of tires on it in the 10 years that I’ve owned it (replaced due to time and 50% used) - because I like the great traction that Summer-Only RFT’s provide. It how has 60K miles; and the only repair issue was a drive axle pinion bolt (not expensive) - and I changed the transmission and drive axle lubricant once already. Engine belt were changed this spring, and I changed spark plugs - just ‘cuz - at 50 K miles. The car is rock solid. It rides smooth - only on asphalt - and I can drive over a buffalo nickel and tell if it was heads or tails - but the agility is worth the stiffness. The only thing I’m concerned with is that if someone drives into me, I’ll be sick having to accept the ridiculously-low retail prices that are shown on this and other car sites. While I wouldn’t part with it at those prices, I heartily recommend that if you can find one at those prices - Buy It!
