My situation must have been the most difficult situation ever at a Carmax, even though it was tough and the Managers and Myself got frustrated at times Ed, Dave, Eric, and Chris (Carmax Charleston Managers) never gave up on me and worked hard to make this thing happen. I came to them looking for my dream car, the Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt or Evolution on a limited budget. They found the vehicle and brought it in, I bought the vehicle and there were a few problems with it, the guys took the car back no questions asked and found another one, even though there were some other issues that occured the Management staff at Carmax stuck by me and helped me make it happen. Went into the Carmax store just to look for a car for future purchase. I was greet immediately by Mr. Carl R Emery and from there things went smoothly. We asked about cars and he talk to us a little about them and told us to have a look and call on him if we need to look in, test drive or just ask question about any of the vehicles. We end up buying a car! Customer service was great and now we will have to drive the car for a little while before I will make any comments. OVERALL the experience.

It is amazing the difference 5 years can make. Traded a 2014 BMW 640i xDrive in for a 2019 BMW M850i xDrive. It is a beast! Handles great, very solid and I like the extra hp and features.

Recently purchased a 2024 4 series convertible. Love the way it looks and drives. ‘Ordered the car with the assumption that it had the cruise control and lane as dust that I was used to in my other vehicles. This car does not come standard with a front facing camera. Also does not come standard with the cruise that is what I call “radar” cruise. Just putting it out there for anyone shopping. I do love the car.

I brought my 328i in to address a recall and Daniel Lee was my service professional. He was fast and courteous. He explained the process and quickly addressed the issue. When other problems were found, he explained them and helped me decide, based on my situation, what to address first.

Haven’t reached break-in mileage limit as yet but so far, car has met all of my expectations with regard to quality and performance. Agree that infotainment display is a bit overwhelming. Front end isn’t as objectionable in person as seen in pictures or videos.

Great experience! Purchased my second vehicle yesterday from this establishment. Caleb had the vehicle waiting on me when I arrived and showed me every bell and whistle it had. Another sales guy Chris showed amazing hospitality while I was there. Jose in finance was well organized we got in and out. I have a sunset orange metallic convertible with cognac interior and a black top. Very sporty. Get a lot of compliments. Zippy. Love the combination as I ordered it from the factory. A little tight on the inside but manageable.
