I've been a BMW fan for many years, and this 428i has not disappointed. It drives and handles just as it should, and the 4-cylinder turbocharged engine is excellent. The seatbelt 'presenters' do not work well, and the door pull handles melt in the Florida heat; other than those two little annoyances, this is an exceptional automobile.

Patience paid off and I found the one I currently own several months later, and it has been an absolute showstopper. 2016 BMW 228i xdrive convertible. The best part: reliability. We are approaching 94k miles and we've had no issues with this car. It feels solid, which is remarkable for a convertible. Everything works just as it should with just routine maintenance. I have only three complaints: the sport seats are my number one complaint. The seat has great lumbar support and is supportive, but the side bolsters on the seat cushion are rock hard and hurt my hips. I have to use a pad to raise myself up a little to ease the pain. The 2nd complaint, and this is worth noting, in comfort mode the throttle can be slow to react. This is so bad it got me rear ended once because the car simply did nothing for several seconds when I pressed the pedal down. Sport mode cures this. Lastly, it requires premium gas. Ford and others get similar horsepower results with regular gas, so I think BMW should be able to also.

I have a sunset orange metallic convertible with cognac interior and a black top. Very sporty. Get a lot of compliments. Zippy. Love the combination as I ordered it from the factory. A little tight on the inside but manageable.

I've had a 2015 and 2018 M4. I loved the M4. I've had the 2026 M2 now for 3 months. I like the handling better. Although smaller, it feels sportier with plenty of head room inside. The back seats are there but really only young kids will have enough room. I certainly didn't by this car to have anyone in the back seat and never had anyone in the back of my M4's either. I love this car with the Alcantara steering wheel, red and blue seat highlights, and Sky Scraper color. I've added a graphite spoiler in the rear, changed the DRL lights to yellow and added after market lights with M Performance showing on the ground when opening the doors. The difference b/t the M4 and M2 is huge. The M2 is fast at around 3.7-8 0 to 60. The M2 is a bargain. My full MSRP was $78,600 and loaded.

Getting an M2 is an easy decision. The harder part is deciding between an original M2 and a newer M2 Competition. They are both great but very different cars. M2 Competition has more power, but also a lot more weight. It drives like a little M4, The original M2 is much lighter and drives like an early 30's or 40's series M3. As far as the engine, it's not a normal N55, it is a highly modied one, the best N55 ever -- runs and sounds fantastic. Contrast that with the S55 in the M2 Competition, which is the most de-tuned version of that fine engine that you can get. Bottom line -- get an original M2, ideally a 2018 with the updated electronics, lights and dash!
