Biggest negative on the X5 is the run flat tires. I think they reduce the quality of the ride and at 5,000 miles had to replace two flat tires ---- non-repairable damage.

my experience here was great. my sales person Matt Waters could not have been better. He made the entire experience efficient. The finance team was ok even though I had to go back in to sign the paperwork but it was still a great experience overall. I love my MDX.

It's all about the B58 in the M40i. I dinged it one star on comfort because this little SUV rides quite "sporty" even in Comfort mode. I absolutely love this about the car, but I could see how some would feel this is too harsh as it is not a luxurious, cushy ride. But tuck this little beast into a fast corner and it's just...wow! This little German SUV is a sleeper. While the X3M is very nice, the M40i is the perfect balance in my opinion. BMW has really stepped up their game in the X3.

This vehicle was very fun to drive, it is comfortable and sporty, and the handling was excellent. Barely any issues, just overall a great driving experience.

My girlfriend recently came here from Brazil. She needed a very dependable car. At other places, language barrier and trying to finance was an issue. Not at AutoMax! Pablo (and team) were awesome. They have people that speak fluent Portuguese (and of course English), so it was very easy to communicate, and for her to tell them what she wanted. They have an awesome selection of cars, and while she was in Marlborough, she actually found one at their Attleboro business. Pablo personally drove her down there, and they were already waiting for her to show up when she arrived. She drove the car, loved it, and without even asking, told her what specific things there were going to take care of (brakes, tires, a couple scratches). They did a great job financing, and showed her specifically what the terms were, and what she'd be paying. She picked up the car at the Marlborogh location, all registered, insurance taken care of, and cleaned up and ready! I can't thank Pablo and AutoMax enough for taking care of her!

Only have been driving the car for a week, but it is clearly the best SUV I have experienced. My wife drives the Mercedes 300 - a fine car as well, but I have always preferred BMY engine performance and handling. The X3 is simply a pleasure to drive.

STAR AUTO MALL: Worst car dealer EVER! I bought a 2017 BMW X3. They never checked the car! I had problems immediately! I called, emailed & texted... Star Auto Mall would NOT return my calls, texts or emails! I went to BMW dealer, and they found lots of issues! Wires hanging down, tires rubbing, etc. It cost me $480 to fix it! I billed Star Auto Mall, and it looks like they're just chucking me the finger!! AVOID these incompetent thieves! I am 77 years old and a Vietnam Era Veteran, I had a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck that I used in my business until I retired and still drove it after that until it got to a point where it just wasn't feasible to repair it anymore so I scrapped it, since I am retired I don't really drive that much anymore and I used Lyft services and my wife's car to occasionally get here and there. But my wife works part time and needs the car about 4 days a week. Then I decided I wanted to get myself another vehicle, not necessarily a new one but a recent late model, but then the ordeal of deciding what I wanted to get started. Did I want a small car a big car a truck, and SUV and if an SUV which one? Since I am a veteran I use the VA Health Care Center in Providence and I am provided Lyft services to and from the hospital for checkups and what have you. During my car search time I happened to have an appointment at the VA and when I called Lyft services to schedule a ride they sent over a beautiful Honda Pilot which I rode in and was very impressed with, and as luck would have it, when I was through with my appointment and called for another ride, Lyft sent ANOTHER Honda Pilot to take me home and I was very impressed with that vehicle as well. I searched for Honda Pilot vehicles online and came across a beautiful looking 2020 EX model, it was burgundy, loaded with a lot of features, had very low mileage, and was very reasonably priced. It was for sale at Grieco Honda on Hartford avenue in Johnston. As a lot of people , are I was a little hesitant about going into a car dealership having heard stories about various bad experiences some people have had with some. When I went into Grieco Honda I was introduced to a young man named Chris Matarese who was a very pleasant individual. He brought the vehicle around for us to go for a test drive, was extremely polite, very intelligent and exceptionally knowledgeable about the vehicle, answering all of my questions in an instant. After a brief time of asking my "20 questions" about the vehicle and financing I decided to buy the 2020 Honda Pilot. Since the vehicle had just been taken in trade it had not been inspected by the service department as yet, and Chris had the vehicle taken in immediately to have it inspected, the service manager noted that the driver side sun visor was not functioning properly and hung a little bit low having apparently been sprung over time, and it was decided that Grieco would put a new visor in for me which I thought was a very nice gesture. So to end this story, I've had the vehicle now for a little over 2 months and I cannot be happier with it and also with the excellent and outstanding service and courtesy which was extended to me by Chris Matarese, you will find him exceptionally honest, devoutly professional, and eager to earn your business. The services provided by Grieco Honda including sales, financing, and the service department were all excellent in quality, if you're looking for a vehicle go to Grieco Honda on Hartford Avenue in Johnston and ask for Chris you will not be disappointed I can assure you. Our 2022 X5 was a beautiful car to us. Unfortunately it didn't work for us as my wife is handicapped and found it difficult to get in and out of - it's higher than one would expect and came to realize the seats are more inboard than other cars that are direct competitors. The 3 inch door sill was almost like a running board and contributed to her struggles. Even though we had the multi-contour seats, we found the lower cushion seat side bolsters too firm for any drive more than an hour. The seat back was fine. While driving around town and 2 lanes was great, it didn't track as well on the highway as one would expect, even after an alignment (it was off at delivery). Our old Volvos were much better in that regard. The positives include the exterior and interior design/layout, the quality, ride, handling and power. It also still has a few buttons, albeit a bit small when driving. The headlights were awesome and the gas mileage was better than expected, 21 around town and 28+ on the highway. Our situation is unique, and after 7 months we sold the car to a tall, able bodied couple.

I cannot believe that BMW put a 4 cylinder with turbo in an X3. It is the single problem I have with my car. otherwise it is perfect. The 6 cylinder in my 2005 was Awesome!!!!! BMW stands for Performance, GIVE IT.

No other dealer could touch the deal I got at Nucar. Kyle, our sales consultant, was very knowledgeable, and even helped my wife with her Camry XLT, which two other consultants and a technician couldn't figure out. And our financial guy Lee was very helpful and courteous. And the free hats were great!

I have used the 2019 BMW X3 for over a year now, as my third BMW, the other two being the 3 series sedan, with just one problem; Fuel pump failure, though due to my negligence. I now understand that the BMW cannot be operated without sufficient Fuel.

We had a poor credit rating, and Advanced Auto Sales was the only place who gave us hope. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable salesman and finance. When we went to pick up our car, everyone there was happy for us. I highly recommend them.

I’ve owned two 2015 X5D’s - daily driven for 7 years for a combined 173,000 miles (sales job), I averaged 29MPG on each tank in mixed driving (38+mpg on hwy using renewable diesel in CA), and it’s been so much more reliable than any gas car I’ve owned… The only car that compares in reliability is two BMW 328 diesels I’ve owned - I’m not going back to gas cars. I may consider Cayenne diesel as the only other alternative daily driver, otherwise I’ll stay with X5 diesels.

I am from out of state, and made an inquiry online. I received a prompt reply and followup from a salesperson. Although I did not make a purchase at this time, I will definitely give them another try when circumstances change.

This is the best X5 I've ever owned. I've been using it for 2 years and this is my 4th BMW. It has never disappointed me, it's a fantastic SUV. I hope the next model will show the same success. I think the 3.0-liter engine is at its best.

I purchased a 2008 honda crv67,000 miles. I thought maybe I had no chance to get into this Honda because of bad credit. But they assured me if this is the car I want they would make it happen and sure enough it did. The next day I was in my car and very happy. They were understanding, caring, helpful. They made sure the car was in mint condition when they gave it to us. It is running beautiful. I am so glad I went there. I would buy another car there in a heartbeat. They were absolutely wonderful. The X3 m40i is the best family vehicle. Got a decent deal from CarMax on a lightly used 2019 x3 m40i. The hk sound system sounds terrible unless you figure out how to turn off the exhaust sound that comes through the speakers (leaves little bass balance left for the music), but luckily there are a few tricks (check forums). The vehicle is a blast to drive, yet can carry the whole family and luggage anywhere. I had a few e36 m3's a while back and repairs were reasonable and easy to do a lot of stuff independently, so repair costs (only needed brakes, tires and oil in the past 30k miles) on the new BMWs did come as a bit of a shock, but being proactive helps. The vehicle has been super reliable with no mechanical issues.

Before you buy any BMW older than 2018, check out the Isley V BMW lawsuit. You will find the V8 in all pre 2018 BMW's to be problematic for oil leaks and valve stem failures due to defective engine design and excessive heat. I have this X5 with the V8 and it's a wonderful car to drive and look at. It's my 5th BMW and by far the most reliable. Unfortunately, even with all the meticulous care, my car has experienced the oil leak and smoking exhaust, just like all the N63 & N63TU engines through 2018 will experience this problem and the cost to repair exceeds $20K from the dealer. If you find one that had the valve stem seals replaced, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, it's a great vehicle in many ways.
